Hi,

As lucy is too old now for a buggy back here were thinking of hiring a stroller whilst in MK and Epcot, I don't think we will need one in the smaller parks. Just wandering how much it is to hire one of there strollers per day?

Thanks

Michelle :)

Hi our Ds Adam is the same (5) but we take a light weight umberella stroller it is definitely worth taking one especially if they need to sleep in the evening and at the likes of Down town as you cannot hire them there or go from park to park with them if they are hired. (at this age they are too heavy to carry around) I have even heard people say they just buy one from Walmart when they get there and just leave it at the end of their holiday. We will be taking ours with us again this year. I think its about $15 PER DAY TO HIRE

Thanks for the adivce. We left lucy's stroller/pram over there the last time we went. She will be 6 1/2 when we go in may so i'm not sure if a lite weight stroller will be big enough for her.

Has anyone used one for this age before?

josh was nearly 7 last time we went and we used an umberella stroller $10 for walmart.
1st day he whined (josh has autism and was not impressed) after the 1st hour or so he was very relieved as v busy (aug) and v hot.
Try it for $10 you can always leave it in the room.

We actually take a children's wheelchair with us as Joshua - who also is autistic - really struggles walking long distances.
We don't use it much at home but find it essential on holiday.

Prior to that we used to take our own over-size stroller with us.

If you can buy one cheap out there it's a good idea and not having to bring it home has it's advantages too.

The most important thing is ensuring it's comfortable and offers protection from the sun - something we have to consider this August, large umbrella we have should help hopefully.

The first time we went our youngest was 4 and never once went in a stroller.
We were quite pleased really, as he slept really well at night after walking round the Parks all day. We did ask him if he wanted one, but he looked disgusted so we left it.

It depends on the child really.

I saw strollers in Walmart for $10 they looked ok tbh I think they would do the job for a holiday but I wouldnt bother bringing it home. We took our own as we needed them to transport kids through to the connecting flight otherwise we probably would have just got one when we were there.

Last time we went we bought a stroller, children aged 4 and 22 months, we took our old one out there, and put it in the hotel skip before we left. This time children aged 6 and 4 will not be having buggies. Our child who will be 4 in April walks over 4 1/2 miles for the school run everyday so he is a very good walker.
If you need one buy one it is cheaper. We bought ours from Toysrus! It cost $28 and it lasted us for a year at home!
