Strollers for preschoolers?

sorry to hijack, but now that I see so many that are using strollers for their children it has me thinking about my 6 yro. I wasn't going to bring one but am having second thoughts. Is there somewhere at the park that you can leave your stroller for the day or a few hours. We will be walking to/from HOJO and I am the only adult with 2 boys, that among other things have sensory issues, I thought this may a good option for getting to/from the park. It will also help keep the little one safe if he is having a difficult day. TIA!

Yes, if we want to abandon the stroller for a while, we just park it in any large stroller parking area near a ride. Never had an issue finding it later that day. We don't leave anything we care about in it, and I only do this with my huge old stroller that I could live without if someone decided to steal.

My DS will be turning 6 while we are at DL next month and his little sister is 2.5. We are definitely bringing a stroller that they can both use. We have a Phil and Ted's Sport that I'm hoping will work well. It is an all terrain stroller that can work as a single or a double, but we'll just leave the second seat attached for when DS gets tired. He's way over the weight limit for the back seat, but he crams himself in there just fine and we're careful to make him get out first.

I debated bringing our Mountain Buggy double, but it's a side by side, which means it will be harder to maneuver. I think it would be overkill for DS, honestly. If he were 4, I'd definitely be bringing it, though.

We have the original P&T stroller that we hauled on the plane with us and it was perfect for Disneyland. We can't use the second seat any more as our second child now is too big for it, but at least either child can sit in the front seat of it. It worked beautifully for us at Disneyland and we saw a lot of P&T strollers there.

We are going to get a new stroller soon (before out trip in less than 3 weeks) as we have a triple (its really hard to steer) and only want to bring a double. We were thing about a side by side, never had one only the front/back, and was wondering if its hard to get around with? Does it fit through the door, walk ways, etc easily or is it a big pain? Can't decide on a stroller and not willing to pay $500 for one as we are at the tail end of needing a stroller except when at DLR my youngest three are 1, 2, and 4.

I think for 1 and 2yo to share the stroller you'll want one with two actual seats, as opposed to a sit and stand. If you plan to wear the 1yo then you could get a sit and stand for the 2 and 4yo.

I have a Joovy Caboose, which is awesome for steering and fitting in tight places. It doesn't feel bigger than a single to me. But it is a sit and stand. I have a friend with twins who has the double Maclaren and she takes it shopping, so I can't imagine it's all that wide.

Just this morning I watched my friend maneuver her side-by-side double stroller (I am pretty sure it was a Combi, sorry I don't remember exactly which one) through a standard sized doorway (the side entrance of a church). It was tricky, but it fit just fine. And that was her by herself (with little help from me as I had a sleeping 2yo in my arms), so if you had 2 adults, or one of your bigger kids to help, it would easier i'm sure. I know that many of the side by side doubles are designed to fit through a doorway. Sorry I'm not sure of any specific brands or models.
