Strollers and Wheelchairs

As some of you proably know we are going to Disney for Christams (12thDec-4thJan).Originally i booked for my son,husband and myself, but now my freind is coming with us, with her 2 children (14 and 12). My freinds daughter (12) contracted a virus which damaged her brain when she was 4 years old. This has left her with epillepsy and a mental age of about 4-6. She is very good on her legs but with epillepsey we never know when she could have a fit. When she has a fit she tends to sleep for long periods of time. We were wondering if anyone could recommend either a stroller (which i personally think she will be to big for.And there not very comfy if she did want to sleep) or a wheelchair. She does'nt use a wheelchair at home and if she has a fit when we're out, we normally just come home. But as this holiday does'nt exactly come cheap, we need to put a plan together for when we are at the parks. Any advice would be helpful as she is already very, very, very excited about her holiday .She has been wanting to go to Disney for a long time, but we normally go July and August and it's always been too hot for them to come with us.

also get a gac, which should help alot, we have paid out for tgm as my ds6 has aso, the advice was well worth the 12 quid
gac seem to be very detailed, does she have a trigger for her epilepsy? Then you know what to avoid... we have started tell josh already what to expect, starting making him american pancakes for breakfast etc, ill post the receipe if you are interested, and thus preparing him for culture, if not the size

Tracy I was wondering about tgm but our son is also disabled and I was wondering if his advise would suit us or if it was more for the able bodied and aslo we can't plan on going to the parks early so was also wondering if this made tgm not worthwhile for us.

i have found the info on tgm excellent, josh is able bodied, can run faster than me anyway physically he plays football, trains hard with 2 teams (his and his brothers) for 6 hours a week, so stamina is not something we have to worry about (we started doing this hard core physical exercise on the advice of his asthma specialist incase anyone thinks im a pushy mom, and it really has made a HUGE difference in the quality of his life...
back on subject tgm gives advice on the order in which to do things to avoid crowd build up, there is advice on restaurant choices with some brutally honest reviews which allow informed choices. i could not have planned my hols without him, if you need anymore info pm me,

ps he refuses however to give much info on gac, as he says some unsrupulous sp? people will use it their advantage, which is fair enough....

you're not stupid i sit for hours trying to work out some them

tgm is for tour guide mike, if you go to near the top of the forums list you will find all about him in the theme parks and statigies bit.

gac is for guest assistance card.

My best friend has a deaf daughter who also has some devopmental delays. They couldn't use some of the "best days" information because they were limited to the sign language interpreter schedule - the interpreters were excellent. Anyway...they said that tourguidemike.com's information was perfect for them because he gives the "Why's" for his suggestings and has listing for "Do this before noon", "Do this in the afternoon" etc. It enabled them to really tailor their touring plan to the requirements due to their daughter's needs. They felt that the information really helped them have the best trip possible - they rave about TGM and recommend the service to everyone.
