I'm trying to finish up last minute travel plans...

We are going to rent a stroller for DS - he is 5 (yes - he will be walking most of the time - but he does nap when very tired and has always been a stroller child) - I'm taking our Inglesina Swift for the 2 year old.

I'm looking at Orlando Stroller Rentals - (I haven't really looked anywhere else)
DS is close to 50# - will the Mini work - or should I rent the classic?
Is the Mini going to be harder to push?

The Baby Jogger City classic - up to 75#
City Mini All Terrain - up to 50#

Thanks!

we just got back from disney in march.i rented from magicstrollers.com and its much cheaper and they deliver to your resort. i think the lbs for mini jogger is 50 and my 4 yr old is about 43 lbs. we never once had a problem pushing him, it was so easy to push and steer. tall enough for me and my husband and had cup holders and good storage space. i was gonna get one from orlando strollers but found magic strollers and it was the same thing but cheaper. hope this helps and have a safe trip!

The City Mini is a dream to push even when fully loaded - you should be just fine with it. The Classic would be overkill for him unless he's well over 50lbs.

Thanks for your thoughts! The Mini it is!
Magic Stroller is cheaper - so it looks like I'll use them.

We've used the City Mini many times. My older daughter is 7 and weighs right at 50lbs. My younger daughter is 5 1/2 and weighs 42lbs. It's a fantastic stroller and worked great.

Just FYI, Orlando Stroller Rentals also delivers right to your resort. We've used them for several trips and couldn't be happier. The customer service is just fantastic and soooo appreciated. :-)

My 6 1/2 year old is 44 lbs and about 46 inches. We have a Maclaren Volo... but thinking about renting something else so he'll be more comfortable.

He has asthma and was just tested for cystic fibrosis.... so I imagine he'll be riding 50% of the time.

Opinions please???

The City Mini is a fantastic stroller for older, taller kids. My 6 year old is 49" and fits just fine in it. Easy to push, comfy recline, best sun canopy on the market, and decent storage. And it's pretty light when folded. It's the kind of stroller that if you buy when the kids are little you'll never need another one... which is something I wish I knew a few years ago!! :rotfl:

Magic Strollers is a division of Owner's Locker (if you're an OL member it's another 20% off the rental cost) and I prefer them over Orlando Stroller Rentals as they offer the parent console (cupholder) and raincover, also deliver and pick up right from your resort and they're less expensive. Owner's Locker has been around for years and they've got customer service and resort delivery down to a science. :goodvibes
