We are going to DW from Dec. 23rd until Jan. 10th. We are staying at JH and will probably be using the bus or and uber. I rented a Bob Double Stroller for my 4 and 5 year old kids but is that stroller going to be too much of a hassle for the bus and in the parks since it's going to be super crowded?

We have 2 umbrella single strollers that we can bring with but I figured the double stroller would be more useful to store snacks, extra clothes, water, etc. and a nap if needed as well.

Any suggestions/experiences will be greatly appreciated:)

Also should we rent a car or just use the bus from JH all the time? We do have a handicap parking so I was wondering if parking would be easier and faster than waiting for the bus to go to the parks.

I would probably drive, and that is not something I would normally say. However going over Christmas, the parks will be packed. Odds are you will end up having to stand on a bus, or wait thru a few before getting seating. And then you have to hold the stroller, your stuff, and hang on to your kids.

We had a double stroller over thanksgiving week. At rope drop and after fireworks it was tough to maneuver but otherwise was manageable. I think Christmas will be more crowded though. At rope drop at HS I wish we had just abandoned the stroller and come back for it later. We lost a lot of time getting to TSM with the stroller and HS is so small it would have been easy to retrieve it later.

We went ahead and called the company we were going to rent the double stroller and switched to 2 single strollers instead :) We have the double Bob stroller at home and I know how heavy and big that stroller is so after reading some more threads we decided that 2 smaller single strollers will be more manageable when the parks will be super crowded.

Still not sure weather to rent a car or not. I've read on some threads that during xtmas and New Years Jambo house is getting separate buses from Kidani so there isn't much of a wait but I can't confirm it. Also the bus drop off location and car parking is in the same area no? Also we could just get an Uber and get dropped off at the Contemporary and use the monorail for the parks. Any thoughts?

I would only get a car if you will be getting to the parks super early. We always rent a car, arrive at the parks for rope drop and leave by 11:00ish. The cars waiting to enter the magic kingdom were backed up for miles and miles last year between Christmas and New Years. I would not have wanted to be in that line! Traffic also gets horrendous as they close parks when they reach capacity, it's just not a situation I would want to drive in, so only rent a car if you are a rope dropper. Otherwise it could be it's own nightmare.
