Hi all,
This is a letter that Rileygirl and I received from a recent swapper that I thought I would share with you all since you have been so kind to offer sitting and swapping. This is what it's all about folks.
Grab your hankies!

I've had a week to reflect after our WDW trip, and I have realized that it would have NEVER been as magical without that stroller for my 7yo. I know that she is a bit old for it and having 7yo's use it probably wasn't what you had in mind when you started the swap. But it meant EVERYTHING. Sure you can rent strollers at the parks but you can't take them with you. We stayed at an Epcot resort and so many things were within walking distance. The stroller was the equalizer. It extended our trip days. It made all of the difference in the world. The stroller was the catalyst for our trip. Let me explain further.
My kids also have a disability. They were both born deaf. They do very well in the hearing world, and WDW did a pretty good job accommodating their needs. But there is no denying that living their lives amongst the hearing takes a lot of hard work and perserverence, and any break from this, including taking a siesta in the stroller, made a significant difference to at least the youngest one who could take advantage of it. And she did. She was passed out cold during Tinkerbell's Flight and could not be revived by even the most intensive attempts to wake her up!!! She always felt like the stroller was her home away from home while on the road at WDW.
The kindness that the two of you exhibited by starting and maintaining this stroller swap is of priceless value to me. I feel compelled to do whatever I can to keep this going. I know that someone else down the line will feel the same way as I do after taking advantage of your selfless acts.
Sooner or later the stroller will need to be replaced. If there is a desire to keep the swap going, count me in both from a logistical and financial perspective. The two of you have done your share. I could NEVER thank you two enough.
I look forward to contributing in any way possible in the future.
