Can anyone recommend a good sunshade for a double, side by side stroller? I have a Maclaren Twin Triumph and the shades are very small. We'll be in Disney the first 2 weeks of May. I think we should have something better to cover the kids and keep the stroller cool.

Thanks!

When we took my son to Disney as an infant, I purchased a sunshade from Protect-a-Bub. It was the one thing that I was sooo happy I had! It really did a great job keeping the sun off of him. It was only for a single stroller, but I know that they make them for twin and triplet strollers, too.

I second the Kiddapotamus Ray Shade! You can pull it forward or back depending on the angle of the sun. We used it for our 9 month old daughter, and it was perfect.

Good luck!

We LOVE our Rayshade! We kept commenting while at WDW that it was our best baby gear purchase! They now make a double for double strollers too, although I would probably buy two in case one of your LO's wants to nap and the other doesn't. You could pull the shade down for the one who is sleepy and leave the other shade up for the one who isn't.

You can do this with a double umbrella stroller that has a third handle in the middle. Otherwise I think you would have to buy the double shade.

My baby would not have survived Disney without the Ray Shade. A great, great purchase!

Good point about the handle in the middle - thanks for adding that!

Thanks for all the input. The reviews for the rayshade say that even a little wind will blow it around. Has anyone had any problems with that on the Rayshade or the Protect-a-bub?

Also, do either of the shades fold back when not in use?

Thanks again!

I have the protect a BUB for a single jogger stroller in the sun shade and the rain cover. I love both of them, I have never had any wind problems but have to remove it when not in use. You may be able to flip it all up on top of the stoller and only untie the bottom strings. It seems so long since I used it you forget and I won't get to use it till disney, too much snow here. It folds up very nicely and easily in a little sack. The sun shade fits my jogger and my Pliko P3, however the rain shade only fits my jogger, I will bring a poncho in case it rains. Hope this helps.:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

We haven't had any wind problems with our Rayshade but I could see a strong wind causing it to blow up and backwards. To me, the many pros of the Rayshade, outweigh that one con. It does fold completely back and out of the way when we're not using it. In fact, we leave it attached at all times, even when at the local mall. We only pull it down when we need to.

ETA - we use the Rayshade on our Peg P3 as well.

I only have the raincover from Protect a Bub but I do have the Rayshade. We used it on a Peg Perego P3 when our youngest was 3 months old and on first WDW trip. I don't recall having any issues with it flipping up due to wind but I did have it nicely ssecured. It easily rolled up with the shade when not needed and I could even fold the stroller up without removing it as well. So it stayed on the entire trip.

I did use the Rayshade on my I'Coo Infinity (similar style as a Bugaboo or Rock Star Baby stroller) last summer when DD was almost 2. That day was somewhat windy so it did flip up some. But I also didn't have it as secure as I did on the P3. I only put it on in a hurry and didn't take the time to secure it. Plus the I'Coo shade is much smaller than the P3 hood (and even a tiny bit smaller than a Maclaren hood to give you a better idea) so I think that was a factor as well. HTH
