Ive only rented from Orlando Stroller Rentals (logo on this page), so they are the only ones I can comment on. I was really happy with the service though. The stroller was waiting at guest services when I arrived and I just dropped it right back there before we lined up to wait for the DME bus.
The stroller was clean, they provided a rain cover ($10 fee) and put a laminated tag on the stroller with our last name. And we loved the stroller itself so much Im not renting this time because I bought one (Baby Jogger City Mini) for myself.
As far as how far out to rent, with OSR, I reserved it as soon as I could pay (money was due at the time of the reservation). I think it was about a month ahead of time, maybe five weeks, but we went the week of Thanksgiving, so I figured I better get it reserved as soon as possible.
I actually just reserved a double stroller from Magic Strollers for our July trip. We rented from them last and it worked out wonderfully. They included a rain cover at no charge. It was a God send as it rained every single day of our trip.
Wow! Didn't realize there were so many choices. Is there a big cost difference/customer service in these companies? I better get going and reserve next week!
We Just returned yesterday from disney. And it was our 5th time renting from Orlando Strollers To Go www.disneyworldstrollers.com we love thier strollers and they have been great to deal with everytime. As for when to reserve, I try to make all my reservations as soon as u have the dates in stone. We did make a surprise trip last fall and called the day before with no problems.
