Wow, We leave for Disney tomorrow and have had second thoughts about taking our two fold up strollers for our 2 1/2 and 4 1/2 year old boys. We are now considering renting a double stoller for the parks. We are looking for advice about what to do. Bring our own or rent a double?

Both of our boys can sleep anywhere and we feel they would sleep in a rented stroller just as well as their own if they need a nap. I would bring a blanket to help soften the ride in the rented strollers.

My huband and I have decided to take at least one umbrella stroller for the airport and hotel but would only use it there.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. One more day and we will be Disney bound!

Thanks:earsboy:

HI,

I would definately rent a double stroller at the parks. I am taking my 2 1/2 and 3 1/2 next month and will rent. It will really be less hassle than folding your strollers and dragging them on to the buses/monorail. I don't know if my kids will sleep in the strollers but the blanket idea is great b/c the strollers at Mk and Epcot are the hard plastic. Also, you know that you can keep your card from your 1st rental of the day and use it for rental in another park on the same day. This make hopping a lot easier. Have a great trip!!

My experences with the stroller rental is to leave your strollers at home and pay the small fee and not have to have the hastle of checking them on the plane.

We definitely always rent too! MUCH EASIER!
This past November, my DS was 2 1/2 and DD was 4 1/2. DD had just gotton to where she didn't nap much anymore. Instead of renting a double, we got two singles- only a dollar more a day. That way, while DS was napping, DD could ride and not wake up her brother. Also, cuts down on the fussing- you know, he's touching me! Two singles are also easier maneuvering through the crowds- especially after a parade or the night shows. We like this better b/c we also allows us to split up. Example, DD didn't want to ride Buzz- doesn't like Zurg at all!- and DS did. So I took DS on Buzz while DH took DD to see the Country Bears. We met up after that.
Anyway, just a thought. Do whatever you think is easier for your family.
Remember, when we were there in Nov., if you kept your receipt from the day before you got a dollar off the next day's rental. Saves a few bucks!!!

We rented them for our 4 kids - ages 3, 5, 6, and 7 and it was worth every penny!!! They are incredibly easy to maneuver - one hand controls them very well and they're well balanced. The only drawback is lack of storage space. They have a mesh pocket on the back, but it doesn't hold very much. We kept their water bottles in there, but not much else. You could keep a few diapers and a pack of wipes because they're flat, but nothing bulky.

Enjoy your trip!

Thank you for the quick feedback about renting a double stroller. Will let you know how it worked out when we return. Look out Disney here we come!
