Monday will be our first time in the parks with a child (4 year-old). Where is the stroller rental location and can one be rented prior to the parks opening at 8?

stroller rental is located directly to the far right of the turnstiles to enter the park (when you are looking at the turnstiles).

I know that they are open prior to park opening, but I'm not sure how early.

Good luck and have fun!

Stroller rental is immediately outside the Disneyland entrance gates all the way at the far right side (if you are facing the gates). I don't know when they open but early entry begins at 7 am so I'm sure they'll be open by 7.

:cool1: EMH applies to DCA on Mondays, so we have the same fighting chance as the rest of the crowds at DL Park.

When we were there a couple months ago, it was $15 for one, $25 for two.

A wheel on our double stroller broke while we were there, so we rented two single strollers (they do not rent double strollers...frustrating) on our last day. Oh my lord, the rental strollers were HORRIBLE. Well, I suppose one might like them if they want to be awed at the miracle of modern science that a piece of equipment can actually possess a brain of its own. But if you want a stroller that can maneuvers well and does not destroy your wrists by the end of the day, then those DL strollers are not going to be a hit. Perhaps we coincidentally got the only two strollers in the park that didn't work, but somehow I doubt it.

Do you have to rent a stroller? For the price you pay per day, you could buy a pretty nice stroller. I believe there's a Target right down the street from DLR - you might want to check there for a cheap ($20) umbrella stroller that you wouldn't mind passing on to someone else in need on your way out :-)

How was your experience with City Stroller Rentals?

We always rent from an outside stroller company when we go to WDW, and I would like to do the same at DL. It is nice to not have to wake up a napping little one to take him out of the stroller and carry him back to the room! :-)

Thanks!
Catherine

We just returned from Disneyland where we rented two strollers from City Strollers. They delivered the strollers right to our hotel which made the walk back to the hotel after the fireworks so much easier! The price was about the same as renting Disney strollers (which we did two years ago) but the service and quality of stroller is much better.

We made a reservation with city strollers, the big selling point is being able to keep the same stroller for the entire stay and walk back to hotel without waiting for shuttle. They gave us the $70 stroller for $50 and are going to deliver to and pick up from hotel. So far my first impression of this company is great.

Did you purchase the insurance when renting from city stroller rentals? I'm not sure if its necessary or not.

Thanks for the feedback. We decided to go with City Strollers and they seem very nice via email.

The experience so far has been very much like Orlando Stroller Rentals and Magic Strollers for WDW.

I think that it is a better deal than the park rentals ($70 for 7 nights, rather than $15 a day at the parks), plus you get to take it back to your room and don't have to carry the sleeping 3-4 year old all the way. (Isn't that always when the walk to the room feels like a hike across the country?)

We arrive in 15 days so I will try to remember to give feedback after our trip is over.

Does anyone know if they ever run out of the Disneyland rentals, like in the afternoon? I think DS will be fine in the mornings but will lose steam as the day goes on. I would like the option to rent it later if I want but should we just get one all day just in case?

Also, do they fold up like a regular stroller if we want to ride the train a few stops or are they hard plastic? Thanks!

I don't know about them running out. Could be a possibility during very busy times. But they don't fold up :( they look very similar to a baby jogger city mini.

Did you purchase the insurance when renting from city stroller rentals? I'm not sure if its necessary or not.

I've rented from them and have a reservation for November. I do get the insurance, but it's mainly because if worst case scenario someone stole the stroller I don't want to be liable. For me the peace of mind is worth it, but I'm sure many people don't bother with it.

You will not regret renting a stroller from City Strollers. They are wonderful! Very nice strollers and clean. We were so happy we did that.

I just rented from City Stroller this morning too~ wonderful customer service. I don't know if my almost 6 year old will need it ~ but I'd rather have it and not need it than attempt to carry my 50lb child to PPH after Fantasmic!:faint:

Another big thumbs up for City Strollers. We used them last year and will use them again. Clean stroller, waiting for us when we got to hotel. Then we just left it there when we checked out. :cool1:
