We are trying to decide if we want to rent a stroller or bring one and from Disney's website it sounds like the stroller rental is inside the park. We don't want to waste any of the premium ride time first thing in the morning standing in line to get a stroller. Also we have MM one day. When does stroller rental open, how long does it take, etc.

The strollers are better than anything we would bring so we'd like to get one if we can, but not at the expense of long lines.

I've never waited in line for a stroller. Sometimes they seem long. Do you think you'll need a stroller first thing in the morning? Our next trip we will be renting one but not until necessary.

I believe stroller rental is open when the gates open.

I'd bring my own. The strollers sold out the day we were there. There was no line though. The problem is, people take the disney strollers. We'd leave them at the entrance to a line, and almost always it would be gone when we got there. This was 3 years ago so I'm not sure if they got a better system or not. I'm sure no one would take your own stroller. They just take the rented one because they are everywhere and you can't tell one from the other.

I believe you can prepay for a stroller if you will be there the night before and then you just have to pick it up from the person handing the strollers out and you do not have to wait in line to pay for the stroller. We did this last oct (during UEA time) and it made the wait a lot shorter...you just show your receipt. Dont know if they still do this. But we have been a few times and have never waited more than 20 minutes to get a stroller and we have never had them sold out when we have been there.

Unless you're one of the first in the gates, you're going to be waiting in line for the stroller..

However, as the PP mentioned, you can pay for the number of days you need a stroller, and therefore only wait in the "pay" line one time...then the other times you go to the person who hands out the strollers, hand over that day's voucher, and they give you a stroller. It does save time!

When we have rented, we like getting them in the morning, because it gets us to our morning-goals faster. DS is a bit dawdly in the mornings, but I know he'll enjoy getting to the rides we want to go on, so moving him along in the stroller is better than trying to drag him along. :) If your kidlets are different, or if your plans/goals in the mornings are different, as long as it isn't a crazy-busy day, you could probably just get it later on.

About rentals being taken...most of the time (not all, but most) a missing stroller is a stroller that's been moved somewhere else by CMs for crowd-flow issues. Usually it is found right around the area. We found our stroller in Adventureland in a newly-created "corral" when we'd parked it near Jungle Cruise...I found our stroller in a different area near Pooh when we'd left it near the Canoes...and then one time...the stroller was just GONE. But the nice thing with rentals is that you can just show your receipt and get another! I never leave things in the strollers anymore (we've had things stolen more than once, including a balloon having been undone) so it's not a huge deal.

If you do rent, my suggestion would be to tie a brightly colored ribbon around the handle to make it easy to identify. We have never had a problem with our stoller being taken in all of our trips (now that I say that I am sure it will go missing when we are there in November!)
