Just on the Disney Rewards site today and I noticed this change...If I remember right this use to be free? Just a heads-up...jc

50% discount on stroller rentals at the Disneyland® Resort subject to availability; separate Theme Park admission required
Strollers are only available at the Main Entrance Stroller Rental location at Disneyland® and Disney's California Adventure® Theme Parks.
Two strollers maximum per day (double strollers not available).
Stroller availability varies based on Theme Park attendance and other factors.

Oh no! Thanks for posting. I would have been mad if I tried to get my free one only to find out it wasn't free!

Does anyone happen to know if they're still doing the visa character meet and greet at DCA? I haven't heard anyone talking about it in awhile.

Oh NOOOOO!!! That STINKS!!!

How much is a stroller for the day? $12??

The Character Meet and Greet at DCA is still listed on the website. Apparently they haven't started charging for that....yet. :sad2:

That's too bad. Not too happy with some of the recent changes on the Disney Visa front.

Oh NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!
honestly, I understand current budget crunches, etc, but not offering free strollers to Visa holders, do they really think charging us 50% they will make any money. I know I will be bringing one from home now.

However, if they offered the nice double strollers that DW has at 1/2 price, I most definatly would rent one (ARE YOU LISTENING DISNEY??)

Grrrrr!!!! I guess we probably don't NEED them anymore -- really they are nice to store water bottles & jackets. Plus the kids aren't as tired. DSes are 9 and 5 now....50%...grrrrr.....sometimes we'd get 1 for us & give 1 to a deserving party behind us in line!

That's lovely. And I just got a Disney Visa for the sole purpose of getting the free strollers.

Me too. I just got the card last week and when I called to activate it they were still telling me about the great deal with free strollers. Grr. Still paying $6 is better then $12 I guess.

Hi, we are at DLR right now and have been using our Disney visa to get the free stroller rental. Two CMs have told us that they are discontinuing the free rentals on 8/12 and it will change to being 50% off, so $6.

We have been doing the Meet and Greet and DCA so it looks like that is still available...at least for now!

OP can you post a link. I'm just not finding the info. I'm using the disney link: http://disney.go.com/visa/today/index.html and #11 still shows: 11. Offer is subject to availability while supplies last. Must present a valid Disney Rewards Visa Card. Stroller availability varies based on Theme Park attendance and other factors. Limit two free strollers per Cardmember per day. Available only at the Main Entrance Stroller Rental Locations in Disneyland® or Disney's California Adventure® Theme Parks.

Although my kids are out of strollers, we'll be taking my 6yo niece with us and meeting my 2 year old niece as well. We were hoping to get a free stroller in the evening when they could be tired.

Edit: I just read the previous post. It'll be effective 8/12. What a bummer. At least we'll still get our free 5X7" photo. They'll probably update the website then.

I found the information after I logged into my account. There is a button to view offers (or something to that effect) -- that is where I saw it.

Thanks. I'll take a look and see if anything else has changed. Oh well, I'll just tell dsil to bring a stroller for my niece.

This is terrible :headache:! I just went in mid July and I used my card for two strollers for my cousin's little ones. They loved the deal and I thought it was cool to be able to do that for them.

Sure $6.00 bucks isn't too expensive, but in the end it really is! Disneyland is one of the most expensive places to visit, yet we're all willing to shell out the big bucks. Little freebies like the free stroller rental and free basic embroidering on mickey ears were a nice simple way to trick us into feeling like we were actually saving :sad2:. It's only a matter of time until they start charging for the Meet N Greet picture, which would probably also be 50% off.

Agreed ... of all times to do stuff like this.

Don't nickel-and-dime us even more in this economic climate.

A lot of price hikes at a time when most are losing jobs, accepting lower pay, etc. Once again, I'm a HUGE free market capitalist ... but this sort of thing doesn't encourage brand loyalty or consumer spending.

This is terrible news. The free strollers are the only reason I use the Disney Visa as our primary card--you can get 1% on just about every card there is and most pay even more for gas/restaurants/etc. Not that Chase will blink but I'm calling to complain.
