Can anyone help me? I want to rent a double stroller for my kids to help them "survive" all the walking around we'll be doing to make it easier on them...and us. Does anyone have any info? I can rent a stroller for the whole week at a discounted price, correct? Any help would be appreciated! TIA!

Here's the Stroller FAQ from Allearsnet.com
http://www.allearsnet.com/pl/strol_faq.htm
That should answer all your questions...

Disney has a Length of Stay rental ticket for strollers and wheelchairs. With the Length of Stay rental, you make a one-time payment for as many days of rental that you will need. Upon visiting a theme park, show your receipt at the stroller/wheelchair rental location and you will be directed through the queue with little or no wait. There is a slight discount when purchasing the Length of Stay rental ticket. The Length of Stay option is NOT offered during peak attendance times, however, such as Christmas.

Stroller rentals cost (prices current as of January 2006):

At the theme parks:

Single or infant (newborn to 9 months) strollers: $10/day (no deposit) OR $8/day Length of Stay rental

Double strollers: $18/day (no deposit) OR $16/day Length of Stay rental

hth!

ETA::LOL it looks like we will be there at the same time... :Pinkbounc

It almost seems like bringing your own would be cheaper than renting. Maybe you are very wealth! Kidding, but do the math and see if bringing one or renting one offsite might also be an option.

Good point. We don't have a double stroller at all so we'll have to rent one somehow.

I should also mention A Baby's Best Friend (www.abbf.com) where you can rent a double jogging stroller like This One for $82/wk. Note the weight limit is 45lbs per child so this option might not work for you depending on the size of your kids. Or you could bring along a couple of inexpensive umbrella strollers. Lots of people do that too. :)

hth.

I have that stroller and just want to mention for anyone thinking about renting it- it is very easy to push but it is very wide. I can't get throught a regular doorway and it is very large and bulky when folded.

You may want to consider bringing a small umbrella stroller for your 3 yo, I have found that it's the walk from stroller rental to the bus/tram/monorail and from the stop to your room that is the worst.

You can check your personal stroller at the stroller rental.

Thanks for all the info! My ds is 48lbs so that stroller is not an option. My friend does have a double Combi savvy stroller. Was considering asking her to borrow it but we'll also have carseats to drag along with us. Just don't want too much equipment to drag along. Thanks for all the info!

Laura, make sure you test drive the combi. I just bought a double. I test drove the combi and really liked it. However, my 30 lb 3 year old looked really big in it and her feet were hitting the front wheel. I think the rental might be a great option for you!

Yeah Tanyandallie, I was just looking online and saw it holds 45lbs at the most per seat. Looks like we'll just stick with the WDW double strollers. Thanks for the posts!!

Does WDW still offer free stroller rentals for Disney's Visa card holders? I heard DL and CA still do.
Ooh, really? ANyone know about WDW?

So I was thinking about going to a second-hand store and just buying a double stroller cheaply. Is it a huge pain to travel with a stroller? We're just getting a mid-size car to save some $$. I've never travelled with a stroller. How is it in the airport? I guess it would be OK b/c we flying SWA so we'll do curbside check-in and not have luggage. Any help would be great! Thanks!! :moped:
