We are leaving for WDW Sunday, 2/8. Our daughter is now 5 and using our umbrella stroller is pushing it though doable. Last year when we went, we had no problems but 1 year's worth of growth and the sun shade that is part of the stroller rests (curves) around her head. We like to keep to keep her out of the sun given her heritage and pale skin so we were sold on renting strollers this time as they would be better suited for her.

But....and here's my ? - last year we thoroughly enjoyed taking the trains in MK and AK to get from point A to point B and easily collasped our stroller and brought it on board for the ride. What do people with stroller rentals do? I don't think those things collaspe do they?

Any advice would be most appreciated - I don't know what to do at this point!

Thanks again,
M

we are part of the stroller renting crowd. When you board a train or other ride that will take you to a different destination, you remove everything from your stroller including your ID tag and then just grab a "blank" stroller where ever you get off. Very simple and you don't have to drag anything extra on a ride.

SEE YOU THERE!!

Blank Stroller? I wasn't aware these existed. So if we get off the AK or MK train there are "blank" strollers?

Yes. When you board the train you leave your stroller behind. And when you get off the train, another will be waiting for you.

One of the important points to remember about stroller rentals is that the only time you will have a stroller is when you are in the parks. Moving through your resort, Downtown Disney, from the busses/parking lots to the parks themselves, you won't have access to a stroller. Since your child is 5 years old, it probably won't be a big issue, but do take it into consideration.

Great! Thank you so much for the reply! This takes such a load off my mind as now I know I can safely leave the umbrella stroller behind and use my disney dollars to cover the stroller rental.

THANK YOU!!!!!!:)

This might be a silly question, but, do they ever run out of strollers....?? Would that be an issue....??

and where can you rent the stroller to begin with?

If they do run out of strollers, the CMs know where to get more. For the most part, it's a self-sustaining system. When you board the train at the Main Street station, you leave your stroller behind. Someone who boarded at Toontown later arrives at Main Street and takes-over your stroller.

Strollers are rented at the entrances to each park. Look around just inside the turnstiles or ask a CM.
