Stroller recomendations

We will be making our first Disney trip since having our son for his 2nd birthday. Can anyone offer ideas for good strollers. We want something lightweight, easy to fold up, with a tray, seat recline and possibly a basket underneath. My husband is 6'3" so any recomendations that would accomadate comfort with his height are very much appreciated. THANKS!

Graco and Trendsport usually have a model our each year that is just perfect! Babiesrus.com has the trendsport lite rider online, now.

It has a fully reclining seat, for when your tot sleeps on the go. A nice canopy for the sun. Cup holders for you and your child( and its a good feature is the child one snaps on and off, if your cild will be up and down alot). A big basket for all your stuff. Its lightweight, even though it doesnt fold like an umbrella stroller. Adn at $40 you can afford to not worry about it being trashed on the plane or something. Also you can get a rain cover for the kind of model easily.

I just purchased a Graco Mosaic for this trip. I think it's a great theme park stroller, it has a compact umbrella fold, but is a stable heavier stroller. I also love the large basket and longer handles.

Not too crazy about the draw-string seat recline, but for $100 bucks you get what you pay for.

One Step Ahead has a lightweight stroller that we got for our last trip. It has a canopy, reclining seat and netting underneath for your things, but no cupholders. It folds up pretty compact (from the front wheels up, then in half) and has a shoulder strap to carry it when folded. It worked like a charm on the monorail when it was packed! I think it was about $45.

Whatever one you end up getting, take it for a "test drive" in the store! By that, I mean walk like you really would on a longer walk. Not like you'd walk in a store (Starting and stopping to browse etc).
Even if you find a better price online or on eBay, try it in a store first!

I got the Baby Trend TrendSport because it was taller than all the rest, had a recline and a decent sized net basket. I stood behind it in the store - pushed it a couple of steps and decided that was THE ONE. THEN I got it home and really used it. It was horrible. The wheel placement was not good FOR ME or DH. Every step I took using a normal stride (and I'm only 5'4") I'd end up kicking the wheels. I ended up with a very unnatural and uncomfortable stride to use it. (lucky for me there was a manufacturing defect in the fabric so I was able take it back to BRU after using it a couple of times and still get my money back!)

Last year, we purchased 2 Chicco "umbrella" strollers - they folded like umbrella strollers but were more "heavy-duty". I can't remember the exact name of the stroller though. Each stroller cost $49.99 from Babies-R-Us.

Each stroller had a canopy for sun protection (which could be flipped down) & a basket underneath. The canopy had a zipper pocket on each side as well. And the seat had a back pocket also.

The stroller did not have a cup tray - either in front of the stroller or at the handlebars for the parents. However, we purchased 2 cup holders from Babies-R-Us that attached to the back of the stroller for me & DH. The kids had water bottles that I had purchased that had clips on them. On the side of the stroller was a place where their water bottles could be clipped. Honestly, I was glad that the strollers didn't have that front cup tray. The kids spent so much time getting in & out of the strollers to go stand in lines, that a cup tray would have been constantly in the way.

The strollers did recline.

DH is 6 foot, and, unlike other strollers we've had, he didn't keep tripping over this particular Chicco model.

Also, the strollers folded up quite easily & both came w/ a carry bag. You slid the stroller into the carry bag, & then you could sling the stroller over your shoulder. However, after the 1st day, we never used the carry bags - too much hassle - but it was a nice feature.

All in all, we were quite happy w/ our stroller choice, & we plan to use them again this June - hopefully our children will still fit in them...

I just ordered this one. Of all the strollers I tested in the store this and the Maclaren Volo were the only ones that I did not kick the wheels when walking. It does not have a tray though.

I have 2 Chicco Caddy strollers I bought from Babies "R" Us about nine months ago. LOVE THEM!!!!!!!! They can take a lick'n and keep on stroll'n. We have been to DL 3 times with them and DH loves to run w/ the stroller as if it was a ride of it's own. I called the company to get rain covers and they sent them out right away. I for one think they are the best beefy umbrella srtoller made. But.... I also think you should give any stroller a good test in the store. Here are a few site to look at the caddy. Good luck!

Last June we took our one year old grandson for his 1st WDW trip. After checking out several different brands we went with the Maclaren Quest. We bought the storage bag that attached to the handles (9.99), it held a couple water bottles and it has additional storage in a mesh bag that hangs below. It was wonderful!

Thank You Everyone For Your Suggestions. We Decided On The Maclaren Volo As It Was Most Comfortable For Our Ease And Our Son Enjoyed Riding Around The Store In It. It Doesn't Recline Or Have A Cup Holder For Our Son As We Had Hoped, However We Know It Wouldn't Fold Up As Small W/ A Cup Holder As We Wanted, And Our Son Almost Fell Asleep In It In The Store So I'm Not Worried About The Recline For Sleeping It Leans Back Enough To Not Have To Worry About Him Falling Out. Plus The Seat Is Mesh, Very Breathable And Quick Drying. Thank You For All Your Help!

You will love the Volo. We bought this last year for our DD6 and used it in November and it was GREAT!! The handles are nice and tall for my tall DH and the carry strap is so convienent. It is also nice that it is mesh like you said, because it got caught in the rain once on our trip but it dried so quickly. If it had been fabric I dont think we would have been able to use it for the rest of the day.

I vote for the Peg Perego PLiko P3! Lightweight, has footpegs for another child to hop on the back, canopy that fully covers a sleeping baby, full recline, snack tray and it folds umbrella style which was wonderful on the Disney buses. I absolutely LOVE this stroller and wish I had gotten one sooner. It handles like a dream and it's basket is easy to access too. The handle heights are also adjustable for taller people. We used it and a Mac Volo on our past trip and I was very happy with both strollers. The Volo even though it doesn't recline, still leaned back enough for little naps because of the seat position. It's a great stroller but I still loved my P3 more.
