Hi all,

I was wondering if the strollers you can rent from Walkers or Randys can be used on the WDW buses - do they have tie downs?

If not, could I get a sticker for a regular stroller to use for DN4, and use the lift to get us on the bus?

He can walk but not for any kind of distance and can't manage stairs. The stroller he has is more like a wheelchair and just isn't practical for daily use.

TIA!

Neither of the companies rent strollers that are safe for transport. As far as the busses go any stroller that is being used as a wheel chair ( even umbrella) can use the handicap line at the bus stop and load using the ramp. Just be sure that the driver sees you by waving at him ( or her). Just tell them when the open the door that you need to use the ramp to load, but taht you are going to fold the stroller. They are great about helping out. You don not have to have the sticker for the busses, but it does help them spot you.

If you need to use the ramp to get off as well, be prepared to be unloaded last - after the other guests get off, the bus driver closes the front doors, and comes around to lower the ramp for you.

While you do not need the red "stroller as a wheelchair tag", getting one from Guest Services is highly recommended. It is something that all drivers have been trained in its meaning. Instead of having to explain you need the ramp, you just show the tag and will be allowed rear access with no questions asked.
