Stroller or no stroller?

I'll be taking my kids, one of whom will be 4 at the time, to DL in February. I'm debating between renting a stroller for my 4 year old (wagons or things like that aren't allowed, from what I hear) in case she gets tired of all the walking. Thing is, I'll want to rent from a company across from DL, not rent daily from the park.

1 - do you think it will be more of a hassle than it's worth to keep track of it, especially a rental one?

2 - if I rent one from DL on an as-needed basis, are they readily available?

3 - would it be better to buy a cheap one when we get there, in case of theft?

In the question of strollers or no strollers, the correct answer is always: Strollers.

Seriously though, we took my son when he was 4, and we brought the stroller. There is miles of walking (even though DL isn't that "big" of a park), they get hot, they get tired, they need naps, they can't handle standing for long periods of time if you're waiting on a character meet and greet, etc. etc. You'll never regret bringing one.

At that age, DD would ride on DHs shoulders when she didn't want to walk. Worked great for us because strollers can be cumbersome to me. They are great for storing things but DD could walk and was never one to fall asleep in a stroller, so riding on shoulders was the best for us

you think like I do Heck, I even considered a double for my kids, and they will be 4.5 and almost 8 LOL. We are bringing a lightweight for the younger one, but I'm going to pack a woven wrap in to wear him on my back in case DD needs to sit for a little. Luckily, DS is on the smaller side for his age so I can easily wear him still. Plus, a wrap will double as a blanket for warmth and for sitting on for parades

We're going with our kids in June. They'll be 6, 5 (DD's birthday lands in the middle of our trip ) and 3. You betcha I'm bringing our double! It has one of those standing areas on the back where my eldest could catch a ride if he wants to. Honestly, I may bring the double AND our cheap little umbrella stroller. We're doing a day of touring around Hollywood, so I'd feel safer if all 3 were secured in a stroller.

I have 5 daughters 14-4. I honestly don't know what we will do when our youngest doesn't need a stroller any more. We always bring our snacks and lunch in. Plus depending on the season jackets or the stuff we buy. It's just so convient. Plus, I know how much my feet hurt by the 3rd day I'd rather just save us all from the exhausted kid and her meltdown for as long as I can!

Yes to the stroller. My son is 3 1/2 and not only do I not think he could walk the entire time by himself, I would be terrified to lose him in a crowd just with the hand holding. I look to the stroller as a way to protect him and keep him with me at all times as opposed to him not being able to walk the entire park himself.

We rented from City Stroller this time after having flown with one last year. I will hands down always go thru City Stroller for all future trips. I hated lugging a car seat and a stroller thru the airport, now I have a gogobabyz attachment for my car seat that turns it into a stroller and we're good to go.

Flying with a stroller is easy... You wheel it all the way to the plane with you, gate check it and get it when you get off the plane... I always vote pro stroller. At a minimum it is awesome to have at the end of the day when everyone is exhausted. Kiddo can pass out in the stroller and you can push it all the way to the hotel (if you don't rent one from Disney).

Thanks everyone! I think we're going to bring one we can borrow from a friend. We've decided we're driving after all, so I'm not worried about flying with it anymore.

I just wasn't sure about it since my daughter hasn't used a stroller in ages. But I'll bring it.
