Can a stroller be taken on the train ride at the MK?

If your stroller fold, you can fold it and take it with you on the train.
If it doesn't fold, you can either leave it at the station and make a round trip or one of your party can push an empty stroller to the area you plan to get out.
The WDW parks strollers don't fold, so they can't get on. They do have some strollers at most of the stations so you can get a replacement.

I took on a double stroller with no problem--folded up, of course.

Yup, I've taken it many times. It must be folded.

Took our folded stoller on the train every day. Try to get the very front seat, it seemed to us that there was a little more room for the stroller to stick out.
