Stroller on plane?

We have never flown before. Sept will be our first time and on USAirways. My question is if we can take the stroller on the plane or do we have to check it? It's a big double stroller. Anybody know?

Hi, I have twins and what we did was check the stroller right at the door (not the door where they take/check your boarding pass, but right at the door as you step foot on the actual plane). We just told the people at the boarding pass desk that we wanted to check the stroller right before boarding.

When the plane landed, the stroller had been placed right outside the plane door as you exited the plane.

You will not be able to take it on board, but you will be allowed to gate check it. When you check in at the gate, ask for a gate check tag. Then take the stroller down the jet way, fold it up, and leave it just off to the side of the very end of the jetway by the plane door.

When you land in Orlando, it will be either just inside the jetway like where you left it at your departure, or at the end of the jetway, just inside the terminal.

Same thing with wheelchairs. Sorry, you can't gate check your kids or your mother-in-law.
