My wife and I will be taking our son to WDW this June for his first birthday. We have debated which stroller to use. We'd like one that folds easily, can be taken on buses without much hassle, has a canopy, reclining seat, and basket underneath. We have a cheap Kolcraft umbrella type (too flimsy) and a Graco "Travel System" (too bulky?). We are looking at the Graco Citilite or something similar. Any suggestions that are not too pricy?

Here are 2 very good ones!

One is more expensive, plush stroller as you can adjust the hight of the handle and the stroller will stand by itself when closed, and it is aluminum ($80 at Babies R Us):

Graco Citilight

The other is cheaper as it's not cusioned and it doesn't have an adjustable handle etc BUT still a very nice stroller!; ($40).

Hi bnlbebes - I too wanted the exact description of a stroller that you mentioned and had settled on the Citiite - BUT - when comparing prices, I found the Peg Perego Pliko Matic on ebay for close to the same price as the Citilite (it was $20 more). It was actually listed on Ebay as "Plikomatic" (all one word) and was literally HALF of it's original cost! It's an outstanding stroller. If you go into GOOGLE and search for it under "Peg Perego Pliko Matic" there's loads of info on it. If you can find it for a great deal - it's definately worth it! I like it because it reclines completely, it weighs less than a carriage system, it folds up to the size of an umbrella stroller, and the canopy can fully cover the front of the stroller (good for rain or shine). When the passenger of the stoller gets a little older - they can also ride on the back of the stroller (this is where my 4 year old rides while DS is in the stroller's seat). The original cost is pricey - but there are good deals on it out there!! Good Luck :D

I was looking for the same thing and ordered a Combi Travel Savy DX from Stroller4less.com I found it for 200$ at the local stores, but got it for 99 (6 S&H) I really like it, we hope to use it for many more trips. It is light, folds up well and has a pack on it to hold water and camera or other things for the adults. I also has a removable bar across it and 2 cup holders on each side. The canapy is wonderful, but the basket is a tad small.

We used this when DD was 2 years old. When we took a trip to WDW when she was 8 1/2 months old we used a backpack stroller from instep and loved that. It does not recline, but was so helpful and she was very comfortable in it. (50$ at target.) It was also great for the beach when she was 1 year old.

Good luck, check out stroller4less.com They have a great selection and wonderful prices. It took a while for them to ship it, so be sure to order in advance. I have also heard good things about any McClaren, but didn't like that they didn't have a bar or cup holders.

I had to say we had this stroller for my daughter for 5 years and it was the best investment we ever made. It would have lasted longer but she out grew using strollers and we are done with babies. I would also suggest get a mesh bag to hook on the back, I think we go ours at Babies r us, it makes it easier to store extra items.

we have a Chicco 2003/Trekking which is very similiar to the Plikomatic, but over here it's a lot cheaper. Not sure about pricing for you, but it might be worth a look.
They are very nice strollers, but not cheap, but they will last for years.

We are taking our one year old this summer and ran into the same problem. Our "travel system" stroller is too big and bulky and umbrella stroller isn't comfortable for him. I bought a Maclaren Vogue for my 3 year old, who was too tall for most lightweight strollers and it is WONDERFUL, but doesn't have a snack tray so I wouldn't use that one for my 1 year old.

I loved the Graco Citilite stroller except for the fact that it doesn't have a snack tray for baby (which I think is essential for a one year old since they can't hold a snack without dropping it). Otherwise, the Citilite handled great, was easy to fold, and very lightweight.

We are considering buying either the Babytrend Trendsport Lite ($39.99 at amazon.com) or the Kolcraft Lightweight Cat and Dog ($39.99 at amazon.com). I believe they both recline, have cup holders, basket, canopy, etc. For $40, if it only lasts us for this one trip we still would be getting our moneys worth. HTH!

I bought a used Graco Citisport on ebay for about 34, including shipping. It is an older version of the Citilite, with no snack tray. I figured we would use this for the next 2 or 3 WDW trips, and it fully reclines, has a pretty nice hood, is about 13 lbs, and is easy to carry. DD will be 1 yo for trip- figured I would give her a snack tupperware type thing each day. Is there something better/easier if you don't have a tray?

Thanks for all the great suggestions.

We went out and bought a Citilite from Babies R Us. My wife had heard about this one from a cousin who just got back from WDW with 2 toddlers and saw others using it. (She told us horror stories about parents getting on and off buses with strollers that were too big!) It seems great - lightweight, undercarriage basket, drink holders for parent, & adjustable handle (great for DD who is 6' and DW who is 5'2"). I also saw a Graco attachment for 4 Graco toys/snackholders that we already have for our "travel system" and highchair. It lloks like it just attaches to the front bar across the seat. As some posters thought that a snack tray was a necessity, wouldn't this serve the purpose?

Thanks again for all of your suggestions!

I love the idea of the Graco attachment you are describing...where did you see it? I've got the Citilight and would love something for my DD snacking.

We have the Maclaren Daytripper and it offers all that you have mentioned and more. It even comes with a nice plastic rainguard that protects the kid and the stroller at the same time. It folds up with one hand and is featherweight. We love it!

The tray attachment that I mentioned in my previous post was at Babies R Us for $10, but it was red ticketed, so I don't know if you'll be able to find them everywhere. It came with 4 pieces: toucan snack holder, bear drink holder, spinning globe, and one other that I can't remember. I looked for it online so that I could attach a link, but couldn't find it.:(

Is this it?

That's the one, BeattyFamily! Do you think that it's worth it? The box showed it mounted onto the bar across a stroller seat front, not with suction cups as pictured an Baby Age.

:earseek: (By the way, how did you find it? What search engine did you use?)

I found it pretty fast. I use Yahoo. I typed in "Graco tray"...and Baby Age was on the top of my search and although it didn't automatically bring me to the tray page, I found it at that website under stroller accessories.

I think it well may be worth it to people with toddlers around 1 to 2 years old. I'm positive, though, as it's hard to tell by a picture.

I don't, however, think it will be worth it for me for my 3 year old at WDW as it looks too bulky. It's hard enough to empty the stroller and fold it up for getting on a train or bus etc...my DD don't really need it. I just thought it would be great for some moms who have little ones who need help with their snacks!

Friends of ours just returned from WDW. They bought a kolcraft like the one posted above & loved it! Now this is a mom who has purchased and returned every stroller on the market. Both parents thought it was the perfect disney stroller - light & small, easy to fold, cup holders for everyone, hood, recline, basket.

A similar one is the graco kite literider.
