DH and I are taking our DS (who will be five months old) to WDW this May - so excited!

Anyway - we have a Graco travel system right now that is perfectly adequate, but we're thinking about purchasing another stroller. More specifically - an umbrella-type stroller that is much more lightweight.

We'd like the following features, if possible:

  • Fully recline
  • Padded
  • Shade
  • Storage bag in the bottom
  • Easy to fold
  • Lightweight
  • Preferably under $200

We were looking at some strollers at BRU today and we liked the Combi (I don't remember what model it was -- it was $99 if that helps). We also tried the Pliko P3 (which I really liked but DH didn't). Any other ideas?

We'd really like a quality stroller (and are willing to spend more than $200 if needed) because we're planning on a couple more kiddos so it will get lots of use!

Thanks in advance!

Okay - one more question... ;)

I just found the (Graco Mosaic Stroller - Lotus) on Target's website. It says that it accepts the SnugRide carseat (which is what we have and will be taking with us to WDW as we're renting a car). Anyone have a Graco Mosaic Stroller - Lotus? Do you like it?

Thanks again!

I just quickly did the math, will he be around 5 months for this trip? If so, there is the chance that he will outgrow that bucket. Is he a tall kid, by chance? I was thinking about that, when you asked about the Graco.

Linda,

Thanks for your help - no, he's not really "tall," per se (he's currently in the 45th percentile for height and weight), but like I said, we'd like a stroller that we can use for a while... Yes, he'll be five months old.

Thanks again - I'll keep looking.

Any other suggestions/comments? What about the Combi?

Definitely look at the Peg Perego Pliko P3 again! (I see you liked it by DH didn't) I think I got mine for $289 last year online.......but it is sooooo worth it! I have six kids and have been through quite a few different strollers Combi, Gracos, Evenflo, Maclaren to name a few and by far the P3 is my ultimate favorite. I do have a Mac Volo which is great for older kids, but Mac's are tippy and will drive you nuts at Disney because you always have stuff hanging on it and forget when your child jumps out.....and crash goes the video camera. Combi's I find too flimsy feeling and to me that makes them hard to push. I hated my Combi. Crappy basket underneath too because of the bar that runs through the middle of it.

The P3's sunshade covers completely, it has the umbrella fold and even stands on it's on while folded and you can pull it along like luggage while folded. Snack try which I can't live without, handles that can extend for taller people, full recline....oh and the extra footpegs for an older kids to jump on are a must have for me. The basket is pretty decent, but I got a Skip Hop Duo for the back and that works great for extra storage or as a cup holder. I can even fold the stroller with the bag attached. Wish I would have gotten this stroller many kids ago, honestly. It is lightweight enough for me and you still get a stroller that isn't flimsy. I'm not sure what DH didn't like about it but do check it out again. It also helps to put a child in it, to see how it feels to push. I know that when I looked at them in BRU the first time I wasn't extremely impressed but after researching and finally deciding it had all the things I wanted, I ordered and I have loved it ever since.

I wanted to add that the P3 does come with an attachment that will acept most carseats. I can't remember if it was some sort of a strap or bar, because I didn't use it, but you would be able to put your snugride in it.

It's a great stroller, $199 on sale at specialtybaby.com with free shipping. That's a great price. You won't regret that purchase, picture on website does not do the stroller justice... it is beautiful... blumoon is the model.

Is the attachment a separate purchase or does it come with the stroller? I will definitely look into this one again - because, like I said, I loved it - DH didn't so much. We did put DS in the Combi, but because DH didn't like the P3, we didn't put him in it - guess we're headed back to BRU sometime this week!

Thanks for the tip! If we decide this is the stroller for us - we'll definitely check it out!

Thanks again, for all of your help! The DIS boards are great!

Just a ditto that the P3 is a great WDW stroller! The Skip Hop diaper bag is a great addition, as is the Carryyou Milan or Demi-Milan (www.carryyou.com) The cupholders on the P3 are small but still workable too.

Just an FYI - I just checked on this and, unfortunately, they are out of stock and will not be getting any more. Bummer - that was a great price!

Another vote here for the Pliko P3. Wish I had this stroller right from the get-go. Try albeebaby.com for some pretty good prices on 2005 models. They range from $219-234 with free shipping. We ordered our Mac Twin from them and were pleased with the company. What did your DH not like about it? Just curious :)

The attachment for the carseats came with the P3, but I didn't need it and didn't even pay attention to it so I can't even remember what it was. I believe it was some sort of a strap. :confused3 The combi is definitely cheaper......P3 is worth it though!
