We are going to Disney in June. I know it will be hot! My 10 year old daughter cannot walk and will be riding in her special needs stroller. It has a covering over her head for shade - but I also think this sometimes traps the heat.

Can anyone recommend a stroller fan that REALLY WORKS? We bought one last summer from Babies R Us, and it barely made a breeze at all.

She will not grab at it, so I don't need to worry about fingers getting caught in it.

I have seen some sold in the gifts shop at Disney - has anyone had a good experience with these?

Thanks for your input! :)

I havent bout one of the stroller fans, but my son LOVED the Disney spray bottle with the fan on it. It really wored well and he would hold it and turn it on when he felt warm and if he got to hot he could mist himself. I'm not sure if this would work for you, but I wanted to let you know about it in case you can use it.

We have the Mickey fan that Disney sells. It does not move air at all.

well hydrated with drinks along the way. Also, every so often go the restroom and wipe her down with cool water. Make sure you apply suntan lotion again everytime you do this with her.

The mist fan is a good idea, too. There are head bands that are designed to cool. You need access to a refrigerator each night for it and it can be refreshed at the parks to help during the day.

We bought one several years ago from Baby Proofing Plus in Toronto (online). It was about $20 then, attached to the tray of teh stroller and worked really well until dd figured she could grab at it. When that happened, it came off easily. It worked so well that we tossed it in our backpack during rides so that we still had it when we returned. I still have it home so I'll have a look at it later for the brand and model number.
