They finally updated the prices on the official site... check out the bold. Wow... I'm not renting but will be interested to hear how this works if yours gets taken.

The stroller rental fee is $15.00 per day for a single-passenger stroller and $31.00 per day for a double-passenger stroller. A $100 credit card deposit is required per stroller rented. The rented stroller must be returned to the original rental location to receive a credit card deposit refund.

For Guests who require a stroller rental for multiple days, we offer a Length of Stay rental ticket where you make a one-time payment transaction for as many days of rental that you will need. Single-passenger strollers are available for $13.00 per day and double-passenger strollers for $27.00 per day. Upon visiting a Theme Park, simply show your receipt at the stroller rental location and you will be expedited through the queue with little or no wait time.

Is that for theme park rentals or rentals at DTD. The reason I ask is because I had heard about the deposit for DTD strollers but with MK there are times when you might be in Toontown and since you can't take a WDW on the train you leave it in Toontown. If you take the train to the entrance and leave what then? And what about the times when your WDW gets swiped and you have no stroller to return? I can't see the deposit working on theme park strollers because of how much it would slow people down when exiting the park. Just asking....

It is posted under the parks. Yes, I don't see many renting strollers now. Unless they are clearly individually marked, so you can point out your stroller? I would be terrified it would get stolen and I would be out the $100 plus rental! :confused3

However, with way they replaced before if you lost a stroller, who is to say that dishonest people who needed more then one stroller wouldn't say they lost theirs and go get another one, make sense? One bad apple spoils the bunch.

Maybe that's the point of the $100 deposit. ;)

That is ridiculous!! Disney is basically begging for us to bring our own stroller. I will not be renting a stroller unless the price drops, I hope this blows up in their face!!:(

Wow that is crazy... Its not like you cant steal them and walking out the gate.

I feel bad for those people who dont know about it.. did all their planning from guide books and show up and are not prepared to pay the higher amount.

There's quite a thread about this on the Theme Parks board. Check Disney's website again...the $100 deposit still only applies at Downtown Disney. The official site has been updated with the correct info...looks like someone didn't have their coffee when doing updates this morning. :surfweb:

From the Disney site:
The stroller rental fee is $15.00 per day for a single-passenger stroller and $31.00 per day for a double-passenger stroller. A $100 credit card deposit is required per stroller rented at the Downtown Disney® Area. The rented stroller must be returned to the original rental location to receive a credit card deposit refund.
