I've never seen this mentioned here but think it may be neat....
While at Babies R Us I saw a stroller/rain cover. This item covers the stroller and the child stays in the stroller--it protects the child too! I purchased a new stroller to take on our trip and last night I put the cover on it to see the fit. We have to take the snack tray off to get a really good fit but I think this could be wonderful. It will not only keep DGS drier in the event of rain but can also keep the wind from blowing on him while we wait for some of the night time shows (it can get windy around the lagoon at EPCOT). A younger child would be fully covered, but since DGS is 2 1/2 his feet will hang out from under the cover--rubber booties for him in the case of rain
Best of all--it was on sale for less than $9.00!!!!!
I just thought this was so unique and better than the plain old poncho idea---it also has ventiliation in it (even though I would think that the fact that it is "open" at the bottom would be ventiliation enough.)
P.S. I couldn't get it folded back small enough to get back in the original plastic holder BUT I could get it into a 2 gallon size ziploc bag.
Has anyone used one of these--thoughts/comments. Am I too overly excited about this????

Also, I have found that depending on the weather the raincover can fog up and again, he bellows because he can`t see. I think raincovers are great for same kids - under a year I would guess, but lose their appeal once the kids, how do I say this nicely?....start asserting themselves (read become a pain in the butt at times
. My cover is also a specialized one for our stroller (Bebecar Raider AT+ - what a mouthfull and the thing looks like an SUV!!) and maybe the issues I raise are unique to me/this brand. Personally I am getting a poncho for DS and praying to God he will put that on without a WWF match in front of the Castle!!
