We just got back yesterday from 7 days in the world....... We took with us two Mac Volo's and stroller connectors.

My overall recommendation is to get them! They were so worth the few dollars they cost.

We used them first in our home airport trying to get all the luggage and kids into the terminal. Even if this was the only time I used them, they more than paid for themselves. There is no way we could have gotten everything in without having the strollers both pushed by one person.

The front wheels did get caught up in each other a bit, only when making really sharp turns. You can lock the middle front wheels, but that seemed to make it steer harder, so I just would wiggle the stroller if they got locked up. Once or twice I had to get down and turn the wheel with my hand when it was really locked together.

Upon arriving at the airport rental car lot, I dropped one of the connectors under the car and ran it over :scared1: It did crack but it held together enough to work for the whole trip. Considering I drove a car over it, I would say these things are built pretty well. I always used the broken one down at the bottom by their feet, figuring that had the least amount of pressure placed on the connector, but it held up well. As badly as it looked, I thought it may not make it the whole week.

There are little rubber pads to help protect your stroller bars and secure the connection tightly, I did manage to loose a few of these but they still worked fine. THey are suppose to stay in the connector but somehow I wiggled a few loose apparently.

It does take a minute to put together and take apart. We never used it in MK, the park seems more crowded to me, and it was easier to just push separately rather than connecting and unconnecting often. But both days in EPCOT we used the connectors, and also in Animal Kingdom. It was nice when it was connected it was always easy to find both of our strollers together in the stroller parking. I also thought it pushed reasonably well if they were connected and only one child riding (which was why I didnt bring our double side by side - it pushes awful with one kid riding)

We could NOT fit through the handicap doorways at the resort with the connectors. Going inside/outside we had to disconnect. But I was able to push them through many of the walkin giftshops at AK, and EPCOT had a lot of double automatic doors that worked fine. Main Street in MK would not have handled them well so I didnt even try.

I did park my volo next to a triumph in MK and the stroller frames seemed to be the same. I thought about trying to connect them but didnt want the owner to think I was stealing so I didnt! But it looked like it should work.

If you take them, I would absolutely always take a plastic baggie to carry them when not in use, so you dont run them over with a car :rotfl: or lose a bunch of the little rubber guards.

HTH!

thank you so much!

i bought the connectors and two volos a few months ago, but havent really had the opportunity to try iit out yet. we are leaving in 8 days :goodvibes
i don't think we'll use them throughout the parks, but planned to have them on hand in case we need them. i think they'll be especially helpful when DH or I are taking our DD9 on a "big" ride and the other one of us is left with the two little ones. so glad to hear they will work.

by the way, were these the prince lionheart ones from babies r us?

They are the prince lionheart ones from BRU.

The other thing that worked great for us, on Thursday our dd was feeling under the weather, so grandma stayed in the room with her and we took ds back to AK so he could see more of his beloved animals. We were able to leave one stroller for my mom to use with dd, but still have one for ds. It was great to have the option to put them together and then take them apart.
