Stroller black market?

We've passed our rental stroller on to someone who was entering as we were leaving. We also been on the receiveing end when we were entering a park as someone else was leaving. No money was exchanged in either situation. I see nothing wrong with this.

When we were staying at BC we came in to Epcot at just about closing time and really only wanted a stroller to wing through the park faster to the exit. Hubby tried to approach someone returning theirs and you'd think he asked to adopt their kid sitting in the stroller.

FWIW I don't think there is anything wrong with and ~ I also think abandoned strollers are VERY obviously abandoned!

One night leaving Fantasmic the CMs were encouraging guests to take strollers that were along the curb.

Congrats! You're an honorary CM -- if you didn't roll it back to the entrance, they would have had to.

if you have an inexpensive umbrella stroller, I would totally recommend you bring it with you. We were going to "wing it " with a stroller and at the last minute we brought ours. (our DD was 4 1/2) We used that stroller ALOT. (and she hasn't been in a stroller since she was 2 1/2)

It's alot of walking for little legs and during the day it was great to manuever to the monorail and bus and at night it helped alot going back to the room... it would have been very hard to carry her back. Just a thought ....

I second this! :thumbsup2

Never got a stroller this way but I've got some deals on lockers at TL and BB water parks this way...usually just give them the deposit, but I have had some just given to me as well. :thumbsup2

All I can think of this thread because of the title, is a dark, rainy, abandoned alley where you go up to a door with an eye slot, and a shady guy behind the door whispers, "so, you want a stroller. Double or single?" :rotfl2:

:thumbsup2 I'm with you... I pictured a tall man (hiding in the shadows) with an over coat standing in front of a whole bunch of "hot" strollers. In this case these are rented from the park and are not to leave the park. I would imagine if Disney knew this was very prevalent (and they actually cared, which they probably don't) they would make a rule that the renter must also return. But if people are just leaving them in the park and walking away i don't see an issue. If anything the CMs probably appreciate you taking them as they will not have to walk them to the front to return them. I don't see an issue and think it is very nice of the previous poster to give their stroller to an incoming family. That is a couple dollars more they can spend on their kids.

I don't know if banking on someone returning one right as you need it is great- but if it is...why not??? I personally would have a back up plan. Morally wrong? Why? You paid for the entire day, and if you decide to let someone else share it, why is that wrong? If you only used it 1/2 day, do they refund the other half? NO. So why should they get paid double for the same stroller?
