I am wondering at what age did your child stop using the stroller at Disney? My girls will be 7 and 4 at the time we go. I will be renting one for the 4 year. But I dont think so for the 7 year old. She is just to big. I mean she got to go on every ride last year when she was 5 years old so she is tall.

Also what about carring their own bags. Last year I carried everything and my shoulder were killing me by then end of the day. This year I have a baggalina (sp) and it is not as big as my bag last year.

Thanks for your help:goodvibes

I took a stroller when my daughter was four and after the first two days, stopped taking it to the parks because she never used it. We went back when she was six and didn't take a stroller and she had more energy that we did.

I just stopped using a stroller for our DD. Our last trip this past Dec. was the last time for her. She had just turned 8, but is very small for her age. I had a Maclaren Volo for her and she just jumped in and out of it when she wanted. By no means did she stay in it all day, but it was nice to have for her since we go commando from rope drop until closing. I personally like having the stroller to put our bag in instead of having to carry it all the time. Hopefully on our next trip in Jan. she will do fine with the walking. I also liked having it because she would fall asleep in it when we were there late at night and no one had to sit and hold her or carry her. We just pushed on and did more rides and shows.

We didn't take a stroller for our DS when we went and he was 5 and he did fine. Actually we didn't even think about it because we didn't have one anymore. It was Easter and we put in some very long days. He was a very small and thin 5 yr old-though I don't see how this matters. Again no stroller in August when he was 7. They have a ton of energy and it isn't marathon walking there are lots of breaks and sitting.

Now the best part about no stroller is it is so freeing! You really don't need that much. With the ages of your kids all you need is maybe for the youngest is a pair of underwear and shorts(knit or soccer) rolled up to fit in a baggie and put into your bag. The older girl can carry a fanny pack for her stuff if she wants to bring something or if not just put her sunglasses in your bag. I don't carry anything for those over 5 so if you insist on bringing it from the room you carry it.

I agree. Why carry a bunch of stuff that you probably won't use. Have each child carry thier own stuff. You'll be amazed how many less things they need when they have to carry it.
