Before I drop $100 on this stuff, I want to know if it actually works. I have a friend who used it on her face and said it made her skin look healthier and younger, but I don't know anybody who's used it for what it's intended to be used for. Makeup Alley didn't show any results when I searched on there.

This post should serve as a warning that eating cans of condensed milk when you're pregnant, is not a good thing. Bad results will occur. The weight may have gone away, but it left a few calling cards. :scared:

I shelled out the $$ and tried it a few years back. NADA, nothing, no difference. I wasn't using it on stretch marks, I was using it on tiny wrinkles (crows feet) that were beginning to develop around my eyes. I found that Estee Lauder's Fruition worked wonders, wayyy better on both my face and my body. It's not as spendy as the Strivecton but it's not cheap either. Good luck!!

Do not waste ANY money on stretch mark. They are as difficult to cure as canker sores.

My doctor told me that the only thing that makes a *small* difference on them is to use Retin-A when the stretch marks are new (still red). It helps to fade them a bit. Nothing else works on them, period....

It's a shame, some doctor needs to invent a cure for them--he/she will be richer than Bill Gates!;)

Not what I wanted to hear, but what I expected nonetheless!

Well, they're far from new! And they're a nice shade of shiny, so I think they're hopeless. I would love to say they were my 21 year old daughter's fault, but I'm totally to blame.

At least they're only on my hips. When I'm in Mexico next month, I'll just walk around with my hands on my hips the whole time. Not only will nobody see them, I'll already be in position for when I catch my husband glancing at the topless women. :lmao:

I've actually kind of learned to embrace mine... heck I even wore a bikini this summer. Losing weight and toning back up and tanning (no lectures it worked for me) makes them less noticeable.

Well it's good to know that tanning helps. I kept excersizing and stayed active, watched what I ate (didn't eat perfect, but not bad either), still put on more pounds that I hoped to, and got my first stretch marks at the beginning of my 8th month, even though I religiously rubbed cocoa butter all over my belly every day.

The only thing that helps mine fade a little is getting them tan, and yes I know the dangers of tanning, but what can I say I like being brown!

Try something a little cheaper like mederma, I've heard it is for stretch marks too.

Hope it helps,
Kim

I wear a bikini too. I can't lecture you, because I tan before bathing suit season too. But I notice when I'm tan, they tend to stand out more. :guilty:

Look at them as souvenirs! ;)

Maybe mine do tan a little bit. I'll have to pay attention this time. I still don't like 'em though.

I noticed no difference at all.

Although, honestly, after 10 years since my last kid, they are hardly noticeable and I have worn a bikini.

i don't think any of these things help, before or after pregnancy!!

i got mine at 8 months........and they have now ALL dissapeared! i did nothing to influence it, it just happened like that. ( hate me if you like ;) )

Weight gain will cause stretch marks but it's more of a heredity thing. My doctor told me that women are predisposed to them. I gained 15 pounds and stretch marks. My SIL gained 35 lbs and not one stretch mark. We both weighed 110 lbs when we got pregnant.
Tummy tucks get rid of them- if they're not too high on your abdomen.

I'd rather have stretch marks! In my case I'd have to get a hip tuck!
