I'm a newbie at some home improvement projects. One thing I have wanted to do practically since we bought this house 7 years ago is strip the paint off of our windowsills and frames. Our house is 106 years old, so I know there is lead paint in there- hence why I am hesitant to sand. I read some articles about the importance of good ventilation and such while stripping- any recommendations on a brand or how to do it?

No experiece with Lead Paint, maybe you could check with a professional Lead Paint Company to give you some ideas. I'm pretty sure you will need an air-fed respirator, or you could do some damage!
