String's Atkin's Journal (Please Comment)

Beth, as if everyone else hasn't said it enough, I've just gotta say it again. You are AMAZING!! I'm glad Monday went well with Katie after all those hours of sleep deprivation. I hope you got a good restful night's sleep last night. Keep pushing those fluids and vitamin C and anything else that will help you ward off any illnesses floating around.

Just keep on going, Beth, day by day, workout by workout, LC meal by LC meal. You can do this! ::yes:: :cheer2:

Believe me, I didn't do yesterday by choice. I made it through the day.

Even though on most Mondays you get a little more sleep than you did yesterday, you work the 3 12's week in and week out. That is amazing in and of itself. :earseek:

When I am dead tired, I am nauseated and bone deep chilled.

::yes:: That is why by 3 am all of us are either drinking a hot cup of coffee or are swadled in a warm blanket from the warmer. We look silly but it usually helps a little bit.

They are so chapped from the soap this weekend, that they are bleeding. We have come to the conclusion that our antibacterial soap can be used for paint stripping. I am slathered in lotion.

::yes:: I hear you, my knuckles are bleeding as well. Try putting some cortizone on your hands to help with the inflammation. I slather lotion on after the cortizone soaks in and really it helps. For me it is the antibacterial soap and the gloves. Thank God the gloves are now powderless. I used to be allergic from the powder and my hands would swell up with huge reddened welts on them. Boy that looked pretty!! Then I would leave the gloves on all the time when I was in a patient's room because I didn't want them to see how my hands looked. It was a bad cycle. They didn't tell me about any of that when I was in nursing school...... Oh well part of the hazards of the job I suppose. It could be worse.

Try to have a restful day today even with all your running around. :flower1:

Hey Beth-

Sending healing :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: by the bucket load!!! I hope you are able to fend this round of germs off. Make sure you get to bed early again tonight - that helps too!

My DH's hands get pretty bad in the winter also (he works outside a lot.) If the skin up by the finger splits (VERY painful) he puts Crazy Glue on it. It really does help!! :earseek: I know that doesn't solve all your wooh's, but perhaps it could help?

You have been doing great with your food this week! :Pinkbounc WTG!! I just know that scale is gonna say nice things to you real soon!!

Take good care of you Beth!

Beth, I hope you get to feeling better quickly, with the weekend you had it's no wonder you are feeling under the weather.

You are doing great, I hope you had a wonderful day! :sunny:

Hi All,
I am sorry if I didn't get to your journal today, but I am beat. I am off to bed now.

Today was a mixed bag. I am feeling a bit better. I think the echinacea helped. I am pushing the fluids. I did 3 weight circuits and 30 minutes on the treadmills. I felt better after.

Foodwise, I have been starving/munching all day. I didn't stick to plan. Oh well, I will do better tomorrow.
Food today..
B: Eggs and tea.
S: Coffee and half/half.
L: Salad
S: 6 strawberries and cream cheese sweetened with splenda.
D: Salad and 1 blt on lc bread.
D: 2.5 oz cashews. (I ate these out of boredom, and am kicking myself.)

I have been watching the AI auditions, and I just can;t take anymore.

Off to bed,
Beth

Sounds to me like you did good.

I love the AI auditions, reminds me that at least I am not that stupid! LOL!

Well, I woke up all congested, and I have pressure in my ears. I've taken my viatmins and echinacea. I am still headed to the Y, but we'll see how much I do. I'll listen to my body. I also need to start laundry and clean the bathrooms that were on my list to do LAST week. I am going to take it easy.
Food plan...
B:MS bar and tea. (Not hungry)
L: Scrambled eggs bacon and cheese on toast and 1/2 grapefruit.
D: salad and chicken stir fry. I use shedded cabage to bulk it insteas of rice.
D: strawberries with whipped cream.

I will be hitting journals off and on today.

Take care,
Beth

Hi Beth - I hope you feel better today. Don't try and over do it at the gym while your sick... it never helps. Try and take it easy today (I know... yeah right  )

Beth,

I hope you feel better soon. Those crazy shifts are wearing you out!!!! Your food is always so good. I wish I had your discipline with the food! Rest and get better!!!!

Sundie

Hi Beth!!

I'm sorry to hear that you are not feeling well today. Try and take it easy and maybe get some extra rest.

I'm ready for the drama to end. katie was hurt at school again. She was kicked in the head-more stitches, by a boy on the jungle gym playing spiderman. She hit her head on the gym, and lost consciousness for about 1 minute. They took her to the local hospital via ambulance. She is fine. CT negative and she is home. I of course wasnt going to leave the ER, so lunch was twinkies, sour cream and onion chips and a coke. I thought our vending machines were bad. Oy! I have an appointment with the school's director tomorrow. I like this school, but something needs to be done about the playground. The boys run wild. Katie also runs wild, but there shouldn't be kicking in the head issues.

With the hospital visit stress, dealing with a cranky 4 year old, and being off program, I feel awful. I am exhausted. So I am going to bed RIGHT NOW! Sorry I didn't get to journals.

Beth

oh Beth :grouphug:

I am so sorry to hear about Katie's injury. You must be scared, angry, exhausted, just to name a few. Believe me, I know what its like to live with constant drama with a child. In my case, its not my 4 yo, but my 15 yo. It really takes it out of you. My prayers are with you. I pray you can compose your thoughts and present a valid concern to the school director that will bring about change. I agree, such injuries are too much.

Sundie

Hi Beth...

Wow.. I don't even know what to say. I'm glad Katie is fine, but maybe you should put a helmet on that girl :earseek: Don't worry about not staying OP for one day, it's not going to kill you. Just drink tons and tons of water, you'll be fine.

Oh Beth,

Major hugs and prayers are being sent your way and Katie's way. :grouphug:
Don't worry about not being OP. I know you and I know you will be able to bounce back quickly. ::yes::

Please tell Katie that mommy's WISH friends are sending lots of :grouphug: and :wizard: her way for a quick healing.

Take good care of you!

:grouphug: I hope Katie is feeling better soon. Don't worry about being off program. Tomorrow is another day. :grouphug:

Hugs to you! Sorry yesterday was pretty miserable! I hope today is a better day!

Hi All,

Katie is fine this morning. The helmet idea is a great idea because we have decided that Katie is a magnet for catastrophe. JK,

I meet with the director at 11. Katie will get to go to the pre-K class while I talk to Lizzy. My concerns are ...
1.) The kids shouldn't have been on the climber when it is icy. We had freezing rain and snow.
2.) The kids should not be allowed to kick. If thin means they can't play superhero anymore, oh well. There have been kids get hurt this year. Too many.
3.) The biggie. One of Katie's teachers should have gone to the hospital with her. If Lizzy needed to cover the class, she should have. Katie was sent in the ambulance with her medical release card. She was there for 10 minutes before I got there.

I am not feeling well at all. I am really congested and short of breath. Obviously, I am not going to the Y today. This is killing me because of the binge yesterday. I am already working on my 2nd liter of water, but a workout would make me feel bettter emotionally. Oh well. I'll take the consequences on Friday's weighin.

Plan for the day...
1.) Meeting with Lizzy. (I don't get wy she goes by Lizzy if she wants to be taken seriously.) I'm done being judgemental.
2.) Fold the laundry I did yesterday.
3.) Clean 1 bathroom. Hey, I got 2 done yesterday.
4.) Haircut at 2pm. :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc It has been 4 months.
5.) Dinner with friends.

Meal plan for the day...
B: scrambled eggs. Tea.
L: salad with chicken strips.
D: at Red Lobster. I will get on the website an decide what I will eat before we go. NO CHEDDER BISCUITS or alcoholic beverages!

Have a good one,
Beth

Oh my Gosh! You poor woman! I'm so sorry you have been through so much. No need to worry about being on program/off program when you are dealing with these kinds of issues. I'm glad Katie is okay - I would be having a very serious discussion with the administrators at this school.

How are thing with PG?
