String's Atkin's Journal (Please Comment)

Thanks everyone.

Last night went well. Nothing unusual happened. Nothing frustrating. I ate per plan. For some reason, I can't sleep. I woke up at 3 when I don't need to get up until 5. I could watch football, but Michigan is being outclassed by OSU, , so I'm not in the mood. I am headed to the Y, and I'll do 30 minutes on the glider. I feel really good, and well rested for once.

No candy or sweets for me!

Beth

Well, that didn't go as planned. I walked out to the car and I had a flat tire. I am now headed to Discount tire to get it fixed. I hate changing tires. Oh well, I had good intentions. There's always another day.

Beth, I'm glad to hear you had a good shift at work! I'm EXTRA glad to hear that you're feeling rested! Believe it or not, I'm also glad that, if you had to get a flat tire, it happened when you had time to deal with it, instead of tomorrow morning after you worked all night.

There will be time to work out later.

You're doing a great job staying on plan. Your body knows it and is giving you a little encouragement - 2.5 pounds less!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: Keep up the good work, Beth!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

:thewave: :rockband: :cheer2: Alright, Beth! Two and half more pounds gone! That is wonderful ::yes:: !

I hope work continues to be stress-free for you. Have a great weekend :sunny: !

2.5!!! Awesome. Keep it up. I swear it makes me tired just reading your journal. Those long shifts have got to be so hard. Make sure you get some rest- fatigue is counterproductive to weight loss.

:scared1: over the can't sleep!

 over the flat tire!

Can you tell I love to sleep? I really hate when I can't sleep. It doesn't happen often, but what a bummer when it does.

Sorry about the flat tire. Sometimes cars are just a pain. Always needing something.... tires... oil changes... GAS! :p I am glad you didn't have to deal with that at the end of a shift. Our last flat tire was found at 11:30 pm after getting home from the airport.

You are doing great on your S/F challenge! WOO HOO!! You can do it!

I'm at work. Ths weekend has been good. Things have been steady, but not crazy. Things are a bit slow, so I jumped on the DIS.:p

I think my new BCPs are affectring my sleep. I have been taking it for 5 days, and I am not sleeping well for the last 2. On the plus side, I'm not terribly fatigued.

I am still playing it b ear tomorrow. I have my workout clothes with me. I am tentatively going to do weights and cardio. We'll see, come 8 AM.

I have been OP, but a lot of my chioces have been high calorie. Chicken salad, cheese, cappacino. I am doing the best I can with what I have.

I am still waiting for Won to fold the laundry. It is time for him to put his money where his mouth is.

I'll check in at some point tomorrow.
Beth

Beth, I'm thinking of you! You're just getting off work and heading either home or to the Y. Best wishes for whichever you decide to do.

Funny how drugs can affect our bodies in so many ways! I hope you're feeling better on these new BCPs.

Best wishes for a good Monday that includes some restful sleep.

Well, I decided to get a short nap. I have always used the drive home to decompress, so I'm sleepy now. I wouldn't be safe on the road without a nap. I'll check journals later.
Beth

Take care Beth! Glad to see you're getting some rest!::yes::

I'm a little late, but 2.5 lbs GONE!!!! :cool1: :cheer2: :cool1: :cheer2:
That is great news Beth! Keep up the good work. You are just gonna sail :boat: through the holidays!

Keep up the good work with your sugar free challenge! Doesn't it get easier after you haven't had it for a while?!

Have a great week Beth!

PS - I hope Katie is feeling better. princess:

Hi Beth!
I hope you got to enjoy a nice and delicious nap. It's good to recharge your body after such a long shift! Hope you are having a great day!! :sunny:

I hope you slept like a baby. It is so nice to recharge after you worked so many hours. You are doing great, good for you.:Pinkbounc

I am able to function after my 2 hour nap. I picked Katie up, and we went out to lunch at the mall. I let her play at the play area for a 1/2 hour. We headed home. I have folded the laundry, put away the clothes, and done the dishes that my not-so Dear husband hadn't done since I made marinara sauce on Friday. I am not at the end of my rope. I am exhausted, and when I am this tired I am nauseated.

I have decided katie is going to bed early tonight, and Won and I are having a talk. I am giving him a project for tonight. He needs to come up with ideas of how he can contribute more to the running of this household. He is a numbers kind of guy, so I have them ready.

He does: 40 hours of work a week.
100% of bill paying.
30% child care.
30% cooking. I am being generous here. He usually takes her out at least once.
20% of the cleaning. Again, I am being generous.
80% of the yard work.

I do: 36 hours of work a week.70% childcare, 70% cooking, 80% of the cleaning, 100% shopping, 100% of the laundry.

I am not expecting things to be equal. I am home M-F, but I do need more help. I am hoping that if I ask him to decide what he wants to do, he will actually do it. What I would like him to do is fold the laundry and clean the kitchen each night. If he wans to take on the grocery shopping, bonus.

Ok, looking at the computer is making me more nauseated. I'm out of here. I'll be in bed by 830, so I don't think I will make it to journals. I'm sorry.
Beth

Wait a minute you are really home Tuesday through Friday. Doesn't working Sunday night count towards working Monday? Won needs to help you out. Good luck on working this out.:D

We had our talk. Won did his usual, non communication thing. "Fine." was the extent of his contibution to the conversation. That said, the kitchen was clean when I got up this morning. :p :Pinkbounc :bounce: .

I was able to get 11 hours of sleep, and I feel refreshed. It is a good thing because I have a ton to do today.
Plan....
Dance class
grocery store.
Costco.
Gym.
Clean bathrooms,
Make dinner for Won and Katie.
Go to a movie.

Yep, that's right. I am taking a night off. My friend Lynn called. Lets go out tonight. We are, and no guilt is involved. HA!! We may even do a bit of window shopping.

Meals yesterday were totally OP. The only thing was that I indulged in too much caffiene. What do I expect with 1.5 hours of sleep in 32 hours?

Today:
B: Tea and MS bar.
L" Salad.
D: ?. I'm not sure where we'll go, but I will make the best chioices I can.

I have stayed SF! I may extend this challenge for myself until Christmas. It will keep me away from the 100 dozen cookies I will be baking. No, that is not an exaggeration. Just never think I'll give up coffee.

Ok, I need to go make myself presentable.
Beth

I know you were hoping for a heat-to-heart two-way talk with Won. Men are so different in their communication styles! Sure wish we could hear what they're thinking sometimes, since they won't come right out and say it. :p I hope that the clean kitchen is a sign of good things to come. I know my DH does better when I just assign him a couple tasks, instead of waiting for him to notice what needs done.

Oh, and the laundry thing - DH does his own laundry. Now that the kids are old enough, they do their own laundry. I am a lot less resentful about having to put clothes away when they are all mine. :p Maybe Won could do his own wash, while you handle laundry for you and Katie.

Enjoy your night out! I hope you and your friend have a wonderful time!

A night out for you Beth??!! That is great - you SO deserve it!::yes::

Glad that the Kitchen got cleaned last night. Maybe, as Doe said, if Won understands what you expect of him, he will get it done. Otherwise, I guess you'll have to keep nagging till he does.

You are doing so great with the SF challenge! I just knew you'd take this thing and run with it! I won't be at all surprised if you continue to lose weight throughout the holidays! :smooth: You are on cruise control now!:boat:

Have a wonderful evening!:smooth:

Men are from Mars.......my husband communicates like that too. It is frustrating. At least your kitchen got cleaned. Have a great night out.:D

:bounce: :hyper: :Pinkbounc :hyper: :bounce: :hyper: :Pinkbounc

Have a fun tonight, Beth! You certainly deserve some fun Me time!! What movie did you see? Was it good? I hope you enjoyed yourself. ::yes::
