Beth, I hope all is well with Won's trip!

I hope Katie was excited to go to school this morning! You're doing a great job of being there for her and your lunch at Red Lobster - YUMMY!!

I am glad Katie is loving school. It is so much easier when they like it. Red Lobster YUMMY, I have not been there in about 2yrs. Sorry to hear about your foot, you just wore those tennis shoes out. Have a good rest day.

My husband is driving me crazy. He keeps calling from the concert and letting me listen to the music. Of course, it is a cell phone, so the connection is lousy. I know he is felling like he is doing something nice, but I would rather just listen to the cd.

I'm really pissed right now. There is a vote in the state house this Friday. They are keeping it very quiet. There has been absolutely no coverage about it. I only know because my mom is in education. The vote is about docking certain school districts in Oakland county, rather than dropping the per pupil allotment statewide. They want to take $270,000 OUT OF MY SCHOOL DISTRICTS BUDGET. I wrote my representative and my senator. They can't levy taxes in individual cities, but they can decrease the amount of money given to the school, apparently. UGH!

I ended up having 1 cup of lc ice cream. this puts me to 32 carbs. I didn't make it under 20, but it was a conscience decision. I didn't binge. I am going back under 20 tomorrow. The shopping trip with my DM was fun. It is always good to get together with her.

Katie has school in the AM, so I am at the Y. I should be able to do 5 miles and my weight circuits. I did get new shoes. I won't get to journals until the afternoon. Have a great day.

Beth - I am glad that Katie is feeling better. It looks like you had a trying week but you made it through and that is the good news! You have to take those mental health days every now and then.

That really stinks about the educational thing. I will never understand why they take away from schools when kids are so important. Glad Katie is up to snuff again. Have fun at the Y. It must be a maintance thing with the Y and there pools.

How was Katie's first day? I'm glad to hear she is feeling better :D .

To answer your question from my journal, the sleigh ride is at the Wilderness Lodge. You take a 30 minute ride in horse-pulled carriage that is decked out for Christmas. The cost is $30 plus tip. If you do a search, I found a couple of pictures and it looks like a fun thing to do :D . I'll be sure to report back if we get one and after our trip if we liked it.

Beth- I had to laugh about Won calling you from the concert.
I am so glad that Katie likes school. I think school is better these days than it used to be. I hated school and so did all my friends. We had nuns that would whack us accross the knuckles with wooden rulers. But my kids love it. They wake up eager and ready each morning. Imagine that- not hitting kids = happier kids, duh.

Hi All,

I love my husband,but he woke us up at 5:45 this morning. He got home safely from Chicago, thanks for the prayers. I couldn't sleep until after 1AM because I was worried. Well, he showered and went straight to work, so he could come home early. He was scheduled off, but decided he was so wired on caffiene, he might as well go in. Well, he kissed Katie before he left, and woke her up. We started our day then. :rolleyes:

I dropped Katie off at school, and went in to the Y. I did 3 weight circuits(15 stations), and 60 minutes(4 miles) on the treaddie. I then di 15 minutes on the glider. Total time135 minutes. That is a good start to the exercise challenge.:hyper:

I am dragging this afternoon. i am going to have a cup of coffee after this.:hyper: Fortunately, Katie is not whiny yet. I am putting her, and me, to bed early.

Breakfast: Morning start bar and tea-3 carbs.
Lunch- salad with ranch-6 carbs.
Snack-coffee 3 carbs.
Dinner- cheeseburger sans bun and salad. -7 carbs.

I should just squeek by with 20 carbs. I hope everyone is having a great day. Take care,

Beth - I finally got a chance to read all your posts (most of them) and your amazing. You've accomplished so much this past year and went through some crappy stuff, but you got through them. Keep up the good work and thank you for posting in my journal with words of encourgement. It makes me want to do better reading yours and everyone else's experiences.::yes:: ::yes::

I have ben catching up on your journal, but it will take me days and days to read through everything I missed. I am so happy to see your weight loss banner!!!!!!! It was about thirty or thirty five when I last read the journals.

Hang tough. I went through that almost paralyzing exhaustion for a while. I am on thyroid and other meds that help. I hope you will have your thyroid level checked at your dr. appointment.

Hi Beth.....!! Just wanted to say hi! And thank you for taking time to post in My journal! I appreciate it much as it looks as if you have much "on your plate" already! I have read through a little of your journal before ( like last month) and just read through the last 5-6 pages or so.....What an inspiration you are with all that excercise!!! Wow! I am just starting out and I'll be lucky to do the 30 min a day!
