I skipped dinner, but I had another piece of toast and tea this evening.

he headache turned into a migraine. I ended up having Won pick up Katie from school. I "rested' until about 730. I'm feeling a bit better. I still have some sinus pressure and I'm queasy. I'm going to drug myself and go back to sleep.

I hope to get to journals tomorrow. I hope everyone has had a good day.

You are not going to believe this one. It was 60 and sunny yesterday. Today it is snowing. Yes, snowing. I live in Southern Michigan, Not the UP. This is just crazy.

I'm feeling much better. My head is clear. I'm back to my ususal self.:crazy:

I've got my orientation to the Y today. I'm looking forward to it. They will give me a workout plan to follow, and a way to track my workouts. I'm expecting a combo of cardio and the nautilus equipment. In a few months I want to start working with free weights, and I'll do a couple of sessions with a personal trainer then to learn the free weight exercises. When the summer sessions start, I'll take a yoga class. That's the plan anyway.

I'm off to check on journals.

Beth - No more Lane Bryant for you!!!! I got all choked up when I read that in your post. It must feel wonderful despite being up a little bit on the scale. Regular sized clothing stores for you from now on my friend. You deserve a big Woohoo!!!!!!! I'm so happy for you.

I hope you will be feeling better soon. My DH has sinus problems and I always feel so sorry for him. {{{hugs}}} to you!

I'm impressed with your tentative work out schedule. You'll be buffed in no time! Great job staying OP on vacation. You are an inspiration to me and I hope to follow your example when I'm on vacation in a few weeks. Take care!

I 'm glad that you are feeling better!:sunny: I know that you will really benefit from your workouts at the Y. At least you will have someone to help you when you need it! I bought a YOGA book several months back. I tried to do some of the exercise in there, but others I just laughed at. Taking a class would be the best way to ease into and learn how to do YOGA. I believe it! It was 60 and sunny here yesterday too and today it snowed. Ugh!! At least the rest of the week looks okay.

Glad you are feeling ok now- the weather is whacked here too. We are all sunburned from the weekend and the kids today were out on the bus stop bundled in winter coats with just their little sunburned faces peeking out- it is just weird.
I am so glad to hear about your shopping trip last weekend- how good does that feel- getting bargains and in size 16!!! These are the things that get me excited. Great job-

It's snowing, again.:confused:

I peeked, again. 224. I'm way up from last week. I've been good. I've been OP. I even have been working out. I had my orientation at the Y yesterday, and then did 30 min on the treaddie-2 miles. I was amazed at the weights I can do. 145 on the leg press. I KNOW I'll be gaining muscles, but I want that 50 lb clippie. I'm going back on induction.

Recap...
1.) Meds- 28/28.
2.) Water I've already had 2 liters 27/27
3.) Exercise 19/28.
4.) Meals 26/28.
Breakfast- ham and string cheese. Coffee.
Lunch will be turkey and swiss roll ups and small salad.
Dinner will be burgers and salad.

I'm back at the Y this afternoon. Since I didn't do full circuits yesterday, I'll do the nautilus equipment followed by treaddie. My weight training will be MWF, with just cardio TTH. I will probably just walk the neighborhood on the weekends. Time to get serious. Grr....

Thanks to everyone for their support. Lisa, I know what you mean. I'll probably still be in LB until I don't fit in the 14's anymore. They seem to know how to design pants that fit me the right way. Some of the pants I tried on this weekend pooched because of the pocket design. I'm comfortable at LB too. I am hoping that my fall wardrobe will be bought elsewhere though.
 
I was downstairs sorting laundry. Katie climbed on her blocks boxes and got the scissors. She cut her hair. She gave herself a mullet. It is over her ear on her right side. We're going for an emegency salvage job at noon. She has a dance recital on June 17th, her hair is supposed to be in q bun. I'm going to have to get a fake ponytail for the recital.
 
OMG Beth- I am literally LOL- Your Katie sounds like a stitch- I love hearing about all your adventures with her. At least it's an unintentional mullet.

You are doing a great job- too bad that silly scale isn't cooperating! I certainly know how you feel about that!!!:rolleyes: But like you always tell me, keep doing the right stuff and the scale is bound to cooperate eventually!:Pinkbounc However, if you'd like a scale bashing party, we can probably get one together!!:badpc:
The shopping trip sounds great, deals and size 16s!! WooHoo!!:thewave: Try some different brands of pants too. I had to do the dreadful jean thing a few weeks back. I did find Bill Blass jeans that fit me pretty okay. Usually the waist has a huge gap if I get them big enough for my bottom. :rolleyes: But the Bill Blass were pretty nice. And I fit in a size 12!!! I don't fit in any other 12s in my closet, so I think they just do nicer sizing!;) Right now, I am a normal 14. Who knows, maybe the 14s in that brand would fit you. :crazy:

Oh. My. Gosh.!!!!! Can't believe Katie pulled the "cut your own hair" trick!!! :eek: Never a dull moment in your house, Beth!! I hope the stylist found a way to help.

Size 16 clothes and OP all weekend - you ROCK, Beth!!! That silly scale is just teasing and taunting you now, testing your patience and persistence. You'll win in the end!! ::yes::

Ok, so I never liked the Weasley, but I feel bad for the kid. He's been ripped to shreds by everyone, and he's been good about it. That being said, thank god he's gone.

Katie's haircut is actually cute. It reminds me of a pixie. She is devastated that she can't have ponytails, but it will grow.

Day 1 of induction is done. It went as planned, and I'm not feeling deprived. The kitchen is officially closed, so I'm calling it cheat-free.

I hit the Y this afternoon. I did 2 nautilus circuits. Then I did 45 minutes on the treaddie. 3 Miles. I then took Katie to the park, and we flew her kite for 1.5 hours. Lots of running.

Cardio at the Y. I'm hoping to do 1 hour on the treaddie and bike.

Sorry I've been absent from your journal lately. Congrats on the size 16's :cheer2: ! Nothing like a marathon shopping weekend to make a girl feel good ;) .

I felt bad for Weasley tonight too. It's not that I dislike him as a person. Actually, I think he seems like a nice kid. It's just he was WAY out of his league ::yes:: . If George would have been voted off I think I may have caused some destruction to my t.v. :duck: !

I hope Katie's feeling better about her "hair cut". I hope you took some pictures to remember the day she cut her own hair :D . Have a great night!

Kids do the craziest things sometimes!!! I know that really got off with you.

I felt bad for JS also. He is so classy, especially for a 16 yr. old!!! I really do not see how he has lasted this long. I still miss Jennifer and just do not feel the same about AI. I'll get over it!!!:mad:

I am glad that your first day back on induction went so good. You know you can do it! You are great about exercise and I believe the weight that you are wanting off will come off soon with all of your hard work!!! Keep on going!!!:Pinkbounc

Sounds like you had a good day. Keep up the good work. Go and buy Katie when of the hair pieces to clip into her hair. Lots of girls at the dance studio have them and they look cute.

I hate when real life interferes with WISH. I only have 5 minutes...
I did go to the Y today, but I only did 35 minutes of walking before I had some intestinal distress. 2 miles isn't bad, bt I had wanted to do 3 miles. I then took Katie swimming for 1 hr. We got a hair piece for Katie's recital, and she will look presentable. Now, I need to finish laundry and clean the house. I hope to take Katie to the park after dinner.

I've already had 3 l of water, so I'll probably end up drinking 4l. Meals have been as planned.

3.) Exercise yep 21/28.
4.) Meals ok so far.

I'll try to check in with everyone at some point today. It will be hit or miss though.

Beth: your Katie sounds a lot like my niece Allysa - only she's now 6, in kindergarten, and still one to grab the scissors and make alterations to her own hair! She's always busy getting into something (very much like her own mother when she was little - not something my sister will admit to now.)

Wow - welcome to regular sizing! and now welcome to total frustration! No two stores sizes are ever the same...you'll be 16 in one, a 14 in another, and may not fit in anything somewhere else. I'm a DD - and no, sports bras just aren't made to fit us. I buy the best cotton bras I can for working out and expect them to wear out fast. I like the Victoria's secret body by Victoria for everyday - very comfortable. Eddie Bauer clothes seem to fit me best and be the most consistent with sizing. I like their jeans with elastic in the waist...that don't look like there is elastic in the waist. They have very good catalog sales almost all the time too.

Does getting TOM mean that your body is adjusting to meds and sugery - all that you've been through? Getting back to "normal" must be reassuring in some way. You're awfully tough for staying on plan on your weekend away and then getting back to induction. I think I will join you back on induction on May 1st - to see if I can get off this lousy plateau once and for all.

More spring coming your way - since hockey season isn't over yet - I'm guessing it's giving winter a reason for hanging on!

Ok, I've got just a few minutes again today.

I made all goals yesterday, and I don't think today will be a problem because I have a PLAN. I do work tonight. I'm making a crustless quiche this afternoon. I'll take that and salad to work with me. I'll also get some eggs in the cafeteria for breakfast.

I'm headed to the Y this AM. I do my weight training today. I'll do 30 minutes on the treaddie after that. Thank god for child watch. I am such a newbie at the machines. It takes ma a few minutes to get the right settings. I'll be honest and say that I am sore today, and I'm not looking forward to lifting today.

Weighin was today. I'm down .5 pound. At least it isn't a gain. I am only down 2/9 for my Mother's day challenge. I don't see how I'll lose 7 pounds in 15 days. There's one goal I didn't meet.:(

I'm still thinking about my goals for May. I think the most important on is the exercise. I hope to up the ante on that one, I just don't know how. 22/30 isn't bad, and I don't think I can realistically increase that number much. I need to think about this.

I hope to check in at some point this weekend, bt it is anither crazy one. Katie starts soccer on Sunday, and I can't wait for that.
