Good morning, Beth. :sunny: :hug: to you and yours. You know, if I had my way, I'd be at that picnic with you! It sounds wonderful. Doreen is right. . .in the midst of all of this that you're going through there is still the capacity for much joy. You can find it--it just take setting some time aside. You, Won, and Katie are a strong, tight unit. . .you'll get through all of this.

You know, Beth, there may be things going on that you aren't really aware of. . .maybe PG was scared silly by the court appearance and the attention all this brought? Maybe DFIL has talked to her privately and laid down the law, but not shared that with you and Won? Maybe her new therapist WILL talk some sense into her? Of course, you may know differently here, but my point is that when you give it up to God, trusting in His power comes into play because you're doing all that YOU can do. Now for me personally, all the trusting and waiting is REALLY hard to bear :p , but I just wanted to offer this idea to you in friendship.

It sounds like you and Won are going through hell right now. I am glad that his brother Victor has turned around and is now there to support Won. Maybe the 2 of them together will be able to talk some sense into their Father.

Just a quick update. I am angry at myself. I just got back from the Y. I did 3 weight circuits. Then I gort on the treaddie, incline of 10 pace 4 mph. I was burned out atfter 2 miles and had to stop. Obviously the stress, lack of sleep, and induction is takin a toll on my body. I walked 13 miles on Labor day for crying out loud. Grr...
Plan...
1.) Take a nap.
2.) take a short walk with Won and Katie after picnic,
3.) Get at least 8 hours of sleep, even if I have to take benedryl to do it.
4.) Eat a more substantial breakfast.

I'll do journals this afternoon/evening.

I think your body's trying to tell you something and you're very smart to listen! Don't give it another thought that you did a shortened workout today. Without proper rest and sleep our bodies will not perform to their maximum abilities--and with all you've been through lately, both physically and emotionally, it's no wonder you're just exhausted. No one needs or DESERVES this rest more than you!

I hope you get the chance to nap and take a walk with your loved ones. And I've been known to score some Benadryl to get to sleep myself sometimes...:teeth:

Take good care of YOU today, sweetie. You're too important not to.:hug: :hug: :hug:
 
:hug: for you Beth! I know you're disappointed in your workout, but, you did your very best at a time when you are incredibly tired and stressed. Now, more than ever, please try to treat yourself with love and kindness. There's enough anger around you right now - please don't add to it by being angry with yourself.

You'll be back to your normal workout routine soon. Try to be patient, OK?

If Benadryl will help you sleep, then I'm all for it! There's always Tylenol PM or a couple glasses of wine, maybe even a soothing warm bubble bath with candles to help you relax.

Be kind to yourself, dear Beth.

Don't be so hard on yourself. The fact that you are OP at all is amazing due to your situation. You should be giving yourself a pat on the back that you are doing so well with exercise and food.

:badpc: :badpc: Our internet was down, so I couldn't get to journals last night, sorry. I also had a complete day without hearing from PG.

Won said he wanted to come home last night, so we had the teddy bear picnic in the backyard. It was a lot of fun. We played tag and soccer and just giggled for a while.

I went to bed at a reasonable hour, and got up at 530 AM. i just couldn't sleep anymore, so I went to the Y before Katie woke up. 5 miles on the treaddie. I am over 1000 minutes this month. I did feel better after finishing that. I'vwe done 3 loads of laundry so far. I took Katie to swimming lessons, and then a trip to Cstco. I am always proud of myself when I leave there with just the things on my list. Of course, my list did include the new Patricia Cornwell book.;)

Katie is desperate for a nap, so I will settle down with my book for an hour this afternoon. My mom is coming by late this afternoon, and she'll stay for dinner. I will see if she wants to go out, or have margarita tuna steaks. Her choice.

Yesterday I was way over my 20 carbs. I was starving in the afternoon, so I had a peanut butter sandwich on lc bread. I figured I ended the day at about 37 carbs. I'm not beating myself up over it because I was genuinely hungry.

I'll start journals as soon as Katie is down.

37 carbs is still quite low - no worries there!

Congrats on the 5 treaddie miles! You amaze me!

Sounds like things are settling down for you, which is great. Don't beat yourself up over a few carbs... I'm sure you'll get back on it. Keep up the good work:sunny:

The picnic in your backyard not only sounded like a great idea, but I'm sure it was very good for your family.

My youngest niece, Allysa, is a first grader. She still needs that "mommy time" each day, where she can crawl into her's mother's lap and have story read. Katie has got to feel the nerves flowing through your household. I'm a big believer in giving children the information they ask for and need. If she asks what is wrong, it is best to level with her and let her know that she can help by spending some time with you and her dad.

Don't worry about the workout...you are working out for both me and you right now. I'm not getting any at the moment. You have been pushing yourself so hard. If you are going to excercise, do at least some of it with Katie. Swimming, playing soccer, pushing her on the swings - it all counts and it will not feel as if you are pushing yourself too hard.

You are so strong but you can not control everything in the world around you. But you can choose how what happens around affects you. Be a duck, let it all just roll off your back like water.

I'm keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Weighed in today 213.5. I am up a few pounds, but I can keep my clippie. I knew I would be up. I fell off program and have been eating some calorie dense foods. I also haven't racked up the miles this week either. I have also increased my weight circuits from 2 to 3. I am ok with it, and will work on losing it again,

I am headed to the Y this am. I'm still working on laundry. I had a great visit with DM,and I used it as an excuse not to do more laundry yesterday. Just towels and sheets today though. I need a nap before work. I will have to leave early because the Ryder cup is in town and traffic is a nightmare. I work a 12 hour shift tonight, and a 8 hour afternoon tomorrow. Sunday we are going to a fair/festival with friends.

Food plan for the Friday into Saturday.
B: Ham and cheese roll.
Lunch: Salad.
5Pm snack: a string cheese and coffee.
Dinner break: Salad with shredded chicken, SF jello.
Breakfast(5AM): Morning Start bar with tea.(decaf green tea)

Have a good one. I'm not sure when I will be able to get to journals, but I'm sending :sunny: to all.

Ok I am in trouble tonight. Katie wouldn't nap, so I couldn't nap. I am woking on zero sleep, and I am not sure I will make it. Ugh. I will definately need more than one cup of coffee.:hyper: :hyper:

If you live anywhere near that golf course I do feel sorry for you dealing with crowds. We are covering Ryder Cup on the Detroit show - absolutely beautiful area! It is fair time in our little city - the traffic is horrific!

The ups and downs of the scale have got me keeping off of it - except for once every two to three weeks. It is discouraging to be up 3 and then down 1...yuk. The weather change hasn't helped either - I just want to eat and eat and eat and hibernate!

Do have a better weekend and week. Positive thoughts and prayers are still heading your way.
