Final lineup gets announced Wednesday and the new season starts Saturday. Do you think money problems and Bruce Forsyth's health will make this the last season? It's one of my wife's favorite shows and we're looking forward to a good competition. Anyone else plan on watching?

I can't wait for the new series to start, I love SCD.

There is an hour launch show on this Saturday, then I think the dancers have about 3 weeks till the series starts properly (1st Oct)

I'm sure I read that there won't be any elimination during the first weekend, then there will be the usual Saturday night show with Tess and Brucie, then the elimination show will be live on the Sunday night (Oct 10th), which will be hosted by Tess and Claudia

I can't wait for It Takes Two as well, love that show

Sadly the only down side to SCD, is that you know that the Winter is coming ~ oh well

OOh, I love this programme. I also get quite addicted to Claudia's daily programme on BBC2 (It Takes Two?).

As I came to it quite late (2008) it's all still fresh to me so I hope the format hasn't been meddled with too much.

I think we'll see lots of changes this year. New pro dancers, a new set, less couples and I think it will have more of the feel of the American version.
I felt that the couple numbers needed reducing and although I like change I feel some die-hard Strictly fans will not like it, but then you can't please everybody....

I've just applied for some audience tickets through the BBC for this season. Have never been lucky enough to get some for SCD as of yet

The draw is open until Sept 16th (I think) if anybody else is interested

The only thig is, every series, I get the dancing bug and want to take lessons.....DH has none of it, says over his dead body

I agree Mandy, it is a sign of winters on the way

I love SCD - I got into it more in the last two seasons and I'm looking forward to who'll be lining up this year!

I didn't really watch 'It takes two' last year, but I'm going to try and catch a few more this year and see what it's like
