Is anyone else really looking forward to the new season of Strictly Come Dancing ? I missed the launch show as I was away, but I can't wait for the first show on Friday evening

The first 7 celebs dance on Fri 30th Sept at 9pm, and the other 7 on Sat 1st Oct at 6pm

It Takes Two starts on Monday on BBC2 at 6.30pm with Zoe Ball, which I'm sure will still be good, but I will really miss Claudia

Woohoo! Strictly is back! So looking forward to seeing how they all get on this weekend

I'm pleased to see many of the old professionals still on there too this year and the new ones that they've brought in look really good too!

I'm looking forward to seeing how Jason Donovan gets on, though he looked quite good on the preview show when they did the 1st group dance!

Very exciting and looking forward to Friday evening!

Yay I arrive home tomorrow for 3 weeks and have so much good tv to watch and now Strictly too.

Wonder who will have the two left feet and can't dance like Kate Garraway and Fiona Phillips etc.

Yes me too.. Hopefully Zoe will do an excellent job as well. Claudia was just so funny, especially when Len was trying to teach her steps. She reminded me of bambi...all legs and no balance

I was all ready to watch it last weekend - that will teach me just to look at the pictures in the Radio Times instead of reading the words.

I do hope Zoe is a good replacement for Claudia. I haven't really seen her on TV since I was watching Playdays with my son about 16 years ago.

I'm not sure who I want to win, but I'm sure I'll start warming to the celebrities as we get to watch them train.

I just love all the dresses, they do such a wonderful job with them. Gotta feel sorry for Flavia with Russel Grant! There is no way on earth the argentine tango is going to look good with those short legs of his, if they get that far in the first place of course!

So disappointed with Lulu, pleasantly surprised by Russell's dedication but blown away by Anita.

I tried using the red button commentary but found it far too distracting.

Looking forward to tonight's show. (Wish it was on a bit later in the evening though.)

It was a great opener, I thought Holly and Anita were really good, and was imoressed with most of them except Lulu and Robbie. Shame I'll miss tonights show as I'm going out, but will try to remember to record it and watch it tomorrow

yes I think Holly was good, well will become good, but I thought Anita was excellent. Robbie Savage looked good in the eye candy kind of way but was pretty dreadful. Now who would have thought that Russell Grant would have been better then Robbie!! OMG LULU!!!!!!!!!!!!! good grief!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As for Nancy - well I knew things weren't going to be so good when I saw her sitting down for so long at the beginning. Shame about the boa but she's going to have to be careful not to let Anton turn her into a comic turn.

What on earth was Anton upto with that routine? I think they were lucky to even score what they did......AWFUL Nancy is gonna need a bucket load of pixie dust to survive next week...

I am relieved to say that "It Takes Two" seems to be in good hands with Zoe. I saw it for the first time last night and although I miss Claudia it was better than I expected.

(Zoe just needs to be persuaded not to wear Claudia's eye make up!! !)

Yes I agree, on the first show I just missed Claudia but last night I felt it was really good, I still miss claud but it felt like there was actually more content last night.

What was the show like over the weekend ? I have recorded it, and hope to catch up with it during the week. I did catch the end of the results show and was pleased that Edwina went (I'm not over keen with her), and I hope Nancy goes this week (I really cannot warm to her at all)
