I was just kinda interested in see what the numbers worked out to be. This has been discussed in the past but I'm not sure whether any polled percentages were generated.

Okay, I'll go first. Most of the time we fly in on a Saturday night, usually arriving between 6- 8 pm. We typically "Priceline" a 3 or 4 * hotel ($30-75/night) and check-in at DVC on Sunday after lunch.

We then stay Sun-Thurs night, checking out on Friday for either another Priceline stay, or what has been really nice, a short stay at a Universal {gasp!} Resort. With an Entertainment card discount, we can stay for between $99-129/night and have Front-of-the-Line access to the rides! This is really cool and we're happy to move for this great perk.

None of the above.

Sept plan: 3 at VB, 1 week at VWL
Jan/Feb plan: 3 at VB, 2 concierge AKL, 5 VWL

All with points. Weekends will be planned at VWL.

Staying at OKW 2 bedroom Sat-Fri Thanksgiving week then spending Fri night at POFQ. So I guess we don't really fit the poll since we at staying at DVC one weekend night and at a disney hotel one of the weekend nights.

Sometimes to save points we'll take a studio for the first night if it falls on a Friday or Saturday night and then switch to a onebedroom for the rest of the week. This is usually because we don't get in until late that first day, and a studio is fine. We only partially unpack and wait for the onebedroom the next day to get more comfortable. Doesn't really fit the poll.

I usually go to the BWV in mid-January, stay until mid-Feb. I'm solo for a good portion of the time, so I stay in a studio, which works well for me. I purchased DVC so I would not have to budget for hotel bills. (I knew weekends "cost" more, so I purchased points to cover them.)

If/when I need a second trip during the year, I stay onsite with a regular cash ressie. (I refuse to borrow--I know myself too well--I'd have all available points used up in no time!)

I voted #1 but I don't necessarily stay in one resort. Like Maistre Gracey, I may move around to different resorts using points.

If we arrive late on a weekend night, I will use Priceline and get a hotel room.

My upcoming trip I will be at OKW for Sun-Friday., VB on cash FRi-Sun then OKW again Sun-Friday!

I could have checked ALL of THE ABOVE but that choice was not available!!

It all depends on how many points I have available and our vacations plans.............another plus for DVC flexibility!!

I voted for DVC Sun-Thurs, Fri-Sat at Off-site hotels eventhough we only stay off site one day. The Saturday we arrive. We drive and arrive Saturday at about 6-8pm. We just stay at Motel 6 that night, check in on Sunday and we leave the next Friday. We have been going twice a year but after our Feb 2003 trip, we will only be going once a year and will probably just stay at DVC for 8 nights including weekends.

If we wished to stay off-site then we never would have made the expenditure for DVC. We purchased enough points for a 1 week stay/year during prime time. When we instead go down during the off-season, the points saved are simply gravy:) :) :) .....

We've stayed offsite on arrival day and we've linked stays at different resorts. Basically we've come to the conclusion we want to unpack & pack one time so now it's one resort, entire trip.

I stay from Sun-Fri and either Priceline the weekend(s) or stay at the All Stars. That way I can get 2 trips out of the same number of points.

I generally like to stay six nights in a row at a DVC resort. Will give up a Saturday either at the front or back of the trip to save points. Low point season, we will stay at DVC the whole week.

Sometimes we will stay ASMu for the first couple of days and then Move to DVC. Or, if we get a good rate, we like to stay Poly Con for a couple of days.

We're very fortunate in that we're only 2 1/2 hours from WDW or VB so we usually begin on Sunday nights. We have however stayed during the "expensive" nights and we simply pay with points for those as well.

I picked stay the whole time at one resort, only b/c that was clsoest to what we do.
Our plan is to get in on Saturday, and stay at a WDW resort. The next 3 big trips will be all MK/monorail resorts so we can go to theMK our first 2 days easily with our little kids. This October is the Contemp. We are transferring to the BW that Sunday and staying until the following Monday. So we are saving points that first Sat. night, but we don't bother switching again for the next weekend.

Still a newcomer and have a 14 yr old so we are directed by her school schedule. We try to do multiple small trips. Once she graduates (2006), we'll be able to use points "wisely - Sun - Thr". So I've voted on #1 (for now):)

We usually arrive on Saturday and stay offsite the first night. We check in early on Sunday and enjoy the whole day. We usually leave on the following Saturday, staying at DVC Friday night.

Same room the entire trip.
We don't want the hassle of changing room / resorts, especially with 2 children.

We do the DVC Sun-Thurs and weekends at either a WDW deluxe or Universal for FOTL. We go 2-3 weeks and each return to DVC is at a different resort too. I have always loved to resort hop, DVC just fits right in with my style.

We prefer to go twice a yr for now and stay at a DVC resort for the time that we are there. We only want to unpack once :D .
