HELP!!!!!!!!  I don't know why I'm stressing so much about choosing a resort for our next trip. If you saw my poll then you know we already have a 2 bedroom villa at OKW for 4 nights, but we want to add an additional 4 nights somewhere and we can't decided where!! :(

I think the poly is out. :( Even though it won my poll by a landslide I didn't realize they only had rooms with 2 queens. DH and I really want a king bed... it's what we sleep in at home and it's what we're comfortable with.

So now we're thinking either YC concierge or WL junior suite. Actually, we both keep bringing up the GF, but we want to try something new (even though we love the GF). Same thing with BWI, we love it, but want to try something new.

So now what? LOL :D It's a good thing the AP rates didn't come out this morning because I didn't know what to book! LOL ;)

I'd really love some opinions... before my head explodes! LOL ;)

Animal Kingdom Lodge, savannah view. No place is more different and unique on WDW property. The balcony is a great place to de-park. Grab some wine or a drink and a cheese plate from Mara and watch the animals come to feed in late afternoon. Ditto with take-out breakfast from Mara and watching in the early morning. Save your AK days for staying at this resort. Eat at Jiko, taste the South African wine. Listen to the story tellers, take the art tour. Relax.....

The only thing that keeps us from trying AKL is our kids. We have 2 children under age 3 and a HUGE double stroller. It's such a pain loading and unloading them on and off the bus. That's why either a monorail resort or an Epcot resort would be our first choice. However, there is still a chance we might stay at AKL... I'm interested in their one bedroom suites. Normally a suite would not be affordable for us, but their suites are very reasonably priced. ;)

Though I can't wait to stay at AKL, DH and I had a great room at the BC. It was huge, it had a wet bar and looked like it was part of a suite. It had a king bed and a sofa bed. It was the biggest room I've seen yet that wasn't billed like a suite or home away from home. Anyway hope this helps. Oh and it's on the 1st floor. We know all about double strollers.

I love Disney!

I am not sure what they will allow???? But am curious to find out....

Can you get a rooms with a king and still have the kids in there with you?
Will they both be in cribs??

Do the suites have king size beds??

Good luck deciding!!:D

The only rooms at the Poly with king beds are the suites... the only suite that is available for our dates is the King Kameamea (spelling?) suite. ($2000/per night) :D So that's out! LOL

We'd really like a room with a king and a daybed. (our youngest is in a crib).

I know where your coming from I do the same thing every year. I always want to stay at all the resorts.I usually decide by first making a list of all the resorts, eliminating the resorts you don't want to stay at. Or if you have a couple of resorts your trying to choose from write them down and now let the research begin. I decide by choosing one that's in our budget first of all then I look for the resorts that offer the most of what we're looking for. I have to say that if your going for romance or just the most incredible view AKL would be your best bet.

We stayed at YC in June and fell in love with it!

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!!!

We were a very short walk from Epcot and Boardwalk. And I love the boat ride to Studios--so relaxing!

And don't forget how fun Stormalong Bay is!

Hi Erika,
extending another vacation! you go girl! :)
What dates are you going???

My vote is for the Yacht Club! knowing that you love the GF, as I do, you will love the YC too! It is so beautiful! the service is first rate too. If you can do concierge.... do it!

The location is the BEST! and your kids will love SAB, so will you! :)

The only thing I am thinking is that I think that the rooms (at all the resorts) that have king beds, don't have daybeds, just a chair and ottoman. But... you may be able to get a rollaway bed, and the crib.

Yacht club, Yacht Club, Yacht Club!! :D :D :D

Laura :)

Laura... I've been hoping you'd reply! ;)

So you think YC would be better than the junior suite at WL?

So there are no king beds with a daybed at YC?? :(

Hi there! I suggest you stay at the Boardwalk Inn at one of the Garden Suites (they have 2 floors, king bed, sofa bed, 1 huge bathroom with tvm jacuzzi tub and shower, 1 smaller bathroom, small kitchen area with sink and fridge, etc). My fiancee and I stayed there and it was just the 2 of us and we had a blast!! Felt like home. It is also concierge level so you get all those amenities. All the garden suites are located right next to the quiet pool and have private gardens and white picket fences. They are great for a small family (room for a crib downstairs and the king bed is upstairs). Otherwise I suggest the GF- you can never go wrong with the best!! Good luck with your choice. :D

ReneeDisney... Those garden suites look very nice, but I don't think I could convince my dh to spend $800 a night! ;)

TigrLvsPooh: I know the $800 a night is crazy, but we only paid $515 a night when we went in February. It was a code rate. Keep on looking for the good deals. I'm sure you'll come up with something that works for you. One more suggestions: sometimes when you call CRO and tell them your dilemna they try to help you out with suggestions that only they know about, especially if you get a very nice CM on the phone. Good luck :D

Was that an AP rate? They are usually about 40% off, right?

I still don't know what we are going to do. Today I'm thinking:

BWI deluxe room
YC concierge
WL junior suite
GF lagoon view

That was a code rate that I found off of Mousesavers. Sorry, but it was date specific. :) Let me know what happens....

Erika,
Yes, I would definately pick the YC over the WL suite. I like the WL, I think it is very cozy and the theming is carried out very very well! I love visisting it, and just sitting in the lobby, venturing uyp to the 3rd or 4th floor fireplace, and walking around the grounds. But... the YC is just so amazing, I like it better for it's more reosrt, open, airy, vacation feel! the theming is wonderful! the nautical touches, the massive lighthouse, being on crescent lake, strolling the BW.
To me it is just perfect! combine that with the service you receive at concierge, and well, it just doesnt get any better than that!
I am going to PM you! :)
Laura :)

Just PM'd you again Laura! :D I'm soooo excited that we have chosen YC concierge!!! I really appreciate all your help. :D I can't wait to get there. :D :D :D
