Strawberry soup?

It's my wife's favorite ... and makes 1900 Park Faire a "must do" every trip.

mmm that stuff is good. Really I think it is just melted strawberry sherbert. Or at least that's what it tastes like-but mmmmmmmmm.

I normally don't eat strawberries, but I take benedryl on nights I go to 1900 Parke Fair. That soup is . Definitley better then melted sherbet. But is close in ingredients.

It's been 2 years since our last trip to 1900 PF, but my 11 year-old is STILL talking about how great that soup was!!! Enjoy!!!

For my money, the GF character meals are THE BEST. Great food, characters, atmosphere.

I will have to try it again. Maybe I am the only one, but, I thought it tasted like unset strawberry jello. I was so disappointed!

You can also make it yourself:

Ingredients

2½ pounds frozen strawberries, thawed with juice
2 cups heavy cream
¼ cup sour cream
1/3 cup plain yogurt
1 tablespoon sugar, optional
fresh strawberries, for garnish.


Directions

Mix strawberries, cream, sour cream, and yogurt in blender until smooth. Chill. Stir well before serving. Garnish with fresh strawberries

DISNEY'S GRAND FLORIDIAN BEACH RESORT

STRAWBERRY SOUP

INGREDIENTS:

16 oz Strawberries (frozen variety, thawed with juice and pureed)
16 oz Sour Cream
1 tbls Lemon Juice (frozen variety, reconstituted, not concentrated)
2 tbls Vanilla Extract
3 oz Sifted Powdered Sugar (by cup measure)
1 tbls Grenadine Syrup
2 oz Half-and-Half

METHOD OF PREPARATION:

Mix strawberries and sour cream, beat slowly until well mixed. While mixing, add grenadine, lemon juice, vanilla extract and sugar until a smooth consistency. Add half-and-half and mix for five seconds. Chill, shake well before serving. Fresh strawberry halves may be added as a garnish.
