I use one ripe banana (I put it in the fridge so it is cold)
one cup strawberries (I am using some from by backyard and I freeze them in layers on a cookie sheet)
1/4 cup plain greek yogurt
I throw this in my ninja blender and add Almond milk to the consistence desired.
The frozen strawberries keeps it cold and gives it the consistency I like. I will use ice if it is hot and I am wanting more of a frozen feel.
Occasionally I will also add in some frozen blueberries.
In the winter I add a packet of Emergen-C to the mixture.
I remember the original Odwalla strawberry-banana smoothie in a bottle. Nectar from the Gods. Then they had the E. Coli scare in the 90s and then decided to flash pasteurize it. It was never the same.
Banilla flavored Stoney Field (organic) yogurt, 4 bananas, 2 or 3 frozen strawberries (I find the strawberry taste gets overwhelming if I use more than that). Ice.
