I know we won't be getting up for early magic hour, so what should our strategy be? Are there good parks to go to on certain days? Should we avoid parks that had early magic hour?

I'm thinking that most days, we're going to aim for the last PS time at the parks' breakfast character meals, so we'll want to be there by 10, does that sound about right? DH and DS both get up around 8 to 9 lazy bums, and we're in Colorado (2 hr time difference), so they're still going to have to deal with getting up earlier LOL.

By the way, we'll be going the first week of June. Thanks for any tips!!!

I NEVER get up early at WDW, and my fiance and I don't ever do Early Entry. He gets coffee from concierge and sits on the balcony reading the paper until I get up and get ready in the morning. While we do have the luxury of having 11 days each trip and have been there a million times, WDW can be done rather stress-free without getting up at the crack of dawn (which I'm sure we'll be doing when we have kids someday).

Take advantage of Fastpass and E-Ride Nights at the Magic Kingdom (hopefully there will be some). Also, plan on staying late at all of the parks. Every school in the country won't be out yet, so that will be a benefit (although we go in July and still don't have a problem). Have a wonderful time and just plan ahead a little.

We have been there at that time for a few years now. I would do the parks that don't have EMH for that day. I would plan on doing e-ride night to get all the big rides done at MK.

I would suggest to try and get to the parks by at least 10 am to get the fast passes that go fast. That time of the year makes it VERY hot in the time from 3pm-5pm. It is miserable. We drag ourselves out of bed and get there at opening and leave to the resort for rest during there absolutely terrible hot times for swimming and then go back to the parks when it cools off a little.

We like to go the first week in June, too. The crowds aren't too crazy yet at that time except I would choose another park other than MK on Saturday. That park gets pretty busy on Saturdays. We usually try to do a non-early entry park. We have teens so getting anywhere early is not an option. Fast passes are the best thing along with any single rider lines. Plus, riding during parade times is a great way to get around the crowds. Someone else mentioned E-ticket night which is great when they offer it. Also, on your Epcot mornings, go get a fastpass for Fast Track as soon as you get there...they run out fast...or choose to go through the single rider line like we do.
Have a great trip!

If you plan on doing Fantasyland rides (Dumbo, Peter Pan, etc), you really need to be there early or you will wait in a LOOOOOONG line. How old is your son? If he's older, you can hope for E-nights (if you are staying on Disney property) for the Tomorrowland and other mountain rides.

Disney Quest doesn't open until 11:30AM, so that's a good one for late risers.

I don't think Early Entry is really a good thing to do anymore because way to many people have found out about it!!!!

I would recommend that you GET UP!!! not very early but the time the park usually open and then stay at the park and have lunch(1 oclock). After lunch go back to your motel and sleep until about 3. This may sound crazy, but you will be amazed at the amount of people coming in as you leave! You won't be missing anything and plus it is the hottest part of the day!!! It just isn't worth it!

We are also late risers, but we always make our PS for breakfast for 9 or 9:30 at the latest. We normally go during value season, and the parks close early, but we always have time to do what we want. This spring we're going the week after Easter, but we have all PS's during our normal time frames (we always have dinner between 5-6 to avoid the evening rush crowds). Time will tell if we have planned correctly or not.
