So what's the best strategy for getting cookies at Giedion's? We are staying at Saratoga Springs so I will be able to walk over. How early do you need to get in line?

Thanks!!!

Get there for opening for sure. It opens at 10 I believe and we were there at around 9:40. Once they opened it didn't take longer than 15 minutes to get in. I was very impressed by how quick it was, but when we walked by a little bit later, the line was insane.

Echoing the response above, we were just there on Sunday. We arrived at 9:40 for the 10am opening and the line was already insane, wrapped around Morimoto. I was worried it was going to take a long time but once they opened, the line moved pretty quickly and we were out by 10:25! The staff inside are super efficient so the line moves fast.

We went on a Tuesday and got in line around 11:30am and was only 25 minute wait and the line was constantly moving. Seems like we hit it right after the morning opening rush and before the lunch rush crowd.

We drove from POR on a Thursday and got to the garage at 9:00 a.m. We were first in line & they opened the doors around 9:45. The line outside was backed all the way down the side of the building. DH said he counted the people and if everyone took five minutes to order (we knew what we wanted so it didn't take that long) the line was already three hours long at opening. The only bad thing about being first in line was that we didn't really have time to soak up the atmopsphere!

We were staying at Saratoga, walked over around 9am and got in line around 9:30 or so. Line wasn't too bad and moved very quickly that early in the morning once they opened the doors at 10am.

If you go on a week-day, you actually might want to wait until 10:30 or 11am to let the first morning rush get thru. We were there in May on a Friday and got in line at about noon and we only waited about 15 minutes. If you go on a weekend, then try to get their at opening.
Also, keep an eye on their social media pages to watch for new items. If you happen to be there on the day they release a new item, you will most likely encounter bigger lines as all of the social media people will probably be there so they can be the first to review the new items.

I plan on going my day of arrival, but If I love them and am certain I will, I want to take a box home with me! So my plan is going on 10 PM the day before of my flight back...do you think there will be cookies left? Is it true they close at 11 pm?

They should have some available at that time. But they do sell out of the limited-edition ones.
Also, if you have not tried their coffee cake cookie, you should try it (it ended up being my favorite cookie of the ones we tried that trip!). They only have it in the morning until it runs out. Sometimes they run out before noon, sometimes they still have some left at 2pm, it really depends on the day.

I won't be arriving to my Disney hotel until 2 pm, so I won't be seeing any of the limited edition. But I've never tasted those cookies, so I am excited to try them out!

Last Wednesday we just walked over and got in line about 1:30 (just checked time I texted DH the menu). Took maybe 10 min waiting. I think the craze is over honestly.
Nothing was sold out for the day

Last minute try to check it out in Dec 2021 while at DS and the line was so long I didn't try. Next time I will go earlier.

I've found that going on the weekend is busier that if you go on a weekday. My first time trying them there was a 3 hour que wait but once in the actual line, it went fairly fast. I definitely go each trip & bring a few home 🤤

Have they stopped doing the virtual queue? In May I met up with a friend who wanted to get in the VQ on our way to Boathouse for brunch. She got her "return to the physical queue" text just as we were finishing up. With the VQ there was no "line wrapped around the building 3 times" going on.

No idea other than there was no need for one last week. Wait was 10 min. total outside. I waited through 2 waves they let in. Took maybe 10 more min inside

Oh, forgot, we were at DS on July 3 too and no wait then either. About same line. Didn’t wait that day, didn’t want any cookies that day

They do it if it’s busy enough. At Thanksgiving, they did it, but in mid-Mat, they didn’t

They did on May 15.
I went a couple of days before that. I think it was a weekday though in the afternoon. There was a wait, just no virtual queue. So, I think it just depends how busy it is.

Was there on like July 5th or 6th and there was a short line but not virtual queue and I got there around 11:30

We have gotten them a couple times likely will skip them next time and opt for a different sweet treat.

They might have the virtual queue if its a busy day, if not you will have to wait in the standby line, I would get there as early as possible. This is our plan of attack for our trip this fall. I've been dreaming about these cookies!! Good luck!!
