strategy for FEA - FP or rope drop from IG

Hi,
Trying to get my FP planned out even though it is still early. I and ALL my FP done, but I just changed dates and resorts... We will be staying at Yacht Club and it will be early June. I have never done RD at Epcot from IG. How does this work? We will have a regular RD day there and a AM EMH RD day there.

Where do you get to stand coming from IG? Which is the best ride to go for - TT, Soarin or FEA from there? Which day should we go straight to FEA (I am assuming EMH day...?) or should we just FP it for later and rush to one of the others?
TT is my sons' favorite and Soarin is mine. With 3 sons (18, 16 and 9), We really only need to do FEA once, but the others multiple times / days.

From my research, you're better off FPing FEA. You can pick up TT or Soarin FPs same day most of the time, but if you can FP FEA, hang on to it for dear life.

FP FEA and head to TT at RD. RD at IG can be inconsistent to say the least as far as when they "begin" letting you in. There's also limited security check points with only two tables / 4 lanes open for bag check. Same limitation with the number of "Mickey" tapstiles. Depending on the time of year there can be a logjam entering at RD. Others may disagree, but think IG is a disadvantage at RD simply because of the volume of people from main gate. I'm not suggesting you use the main gate, just wanted to note that. In October, we were at IG on an EMH day at 7:45 AM, began letting us in around 7:55 AM and we fast walked to Norway to come upon a 30 minute wait for FEA. The throngs of people coming from main gait was amazing!

So, in summary.....FP FEA for whenever you can get it, head to TT right at RD and then over to Soarin after that! If you're up for a second round of TT and the stand-by wait is long, you may or someone in party may want to consider single rider!

Coming in from IG does not seem to be very advantageous. That is frustrating, considering Deluxe resort prices... Even if we wanted to enter by Main Gate, there is really no way to get over there, is there? Bc/YC busses don't even go to main gate AFAIK...
It makes me reconsider paying the $ to stay at YC. Maybe I should just stay at Mod and save $$$. We almost always stay on the Monorail, but oldest DS likes the look of YC. I LOVE walking to MK from CR in the mornings, but I was trying to change it up this trip. I do remember that walking home from dinner at Epcot to BC was nice, but I did not realize that in the mornings we might be behind the crowds. Oh how I hate the Epcot tiered FP! If we could even get 2 of the 3 main attraction FP, then many less people would try and stampede, etc and we could actually enjoy the scenery of Epcot.
