Here's another tip if you drive to the parks: a cold spray bottle of water use it to spray your air vents and will help cool the car down a bit faster
We always bring along those cheap Chinese folding paper fans. They are small, lightweight and can be slipped into a handbag. We have experimented with the mister fans but they are too bulky now that the kids are older.
Also, I know you are looking for heat busters, but I also throw a pashmina in my bag or tie it to my cross-body bag because the hotter it gets outside, the colder they blast the A/C, especially on the busses and in some shows. It is nice to have something to throw over your shoulders when you find yourself riding along in a refrigerator!
Love the mini-mister fans! So much better than the heavy, clunky large mister fans. The small ones have a carabineer clip, so easy to attach to a belt loop or strap of a bag. You do have to refill the water reservoir more often, since they're so small, but I absolutely loved mine!
Ok, so if you wet them in the morning, how did you transport them until you were ready to use them? We only ever stored them for a couple hours at most, but maybe the heat and being in a sealed ziploc did something. I just didn't want them to be loose in our bag when they were wet.
I saw the fans in the store in Japan. They had a lot if pretty ones to choose from.Ooh yes! You can find some good fans like that in Epcot, I want to say back in those stores in China.

Do you suggest one per person? I bought 2 for 4 of us to share, we are all adults. I'm thinking that I'll get a couple of lanyards to put them on, but I do carry a mini hipster that I can hang mine from.
I just ordered 2 Frogg Toggs from Amazon. I'm going in September and would also like to make sure I know how to pack them for the parks. I was thinking of doing just as a PP said, which is to wet them with ice/cold water before leaving the room. Now I'm hoping that this won't cause a problem.
So, how do you transport your Frogg Toggs to the park? Wet or dry?
Saving this thread, as I'm going this September, eek! I'm obsessing over what kind of clothes to wear; definitely need something to help with dreaded chaffing. Been considering skorts, workout clothes, etc. How about underwear? What do you ladies recommend for the best underwear to wear? (Sorry if TMI)
Nuun tablets are the best. Can anyone recommend an electrolyte that isn't flavored? Can't stand the flavor of things like Gatorade/PowerAde etc, plus would prefer without sugar. There are loads of electrolyte tablets listed online, but no clue how to tell a good from a bad.
Long skirts are a no no... Why is this?
I had work done to my leg and will have to wear the dreaded and awful compression garment on one of my legs for our fall trip. For obvious reasons capris or shorts are out for me. I thought a light long maxi skirt would be better than wearing long pants.
Am I wrong to assume this?
Yes, I'd recommend everyone have one of their own. They're inexpensive (about $5 each) so it would only cost around $20 to outfit everyone with one. Better to spend a little up front than wish you'd gotten one for everyone!
And don't forget to bring some extra batteries!
