I've been reading for weeks on strategies for using MDE to acquire FPs...but now that my time has come, my brain is fried. I tried to book A&E for our MK days, but of course none were available. (3rd week of June)

I do remember something about trying every day at certain times. Does anyone remember what they were? Or any other strategies?

On a happy note, I easily got a 7 DMT in the early afternoon!

Is it completely necessary to get A&E FP's at midnight at 60 days out? Or will they all be gone in a matter of hours?

As an AP I can only book at 30 days out, and have still been able to score FP+ for Anna and Elsa multiple times. You just have to be tenacious and keep checking at all times of the day. It gets a little maddening, but things do open up. People switch things around and people's plans change so you just have to be online at the right time when one of those things happen. Good luck!

We wanted E&A on our arrival day but at midnight at our 60 day point nothing was available that day. So I had read the best thing to do was to try for your last day. I did and was able to get E&A on our last day there. We are a party of 9 so I had book 5 then copy the FP+ to the rest of our party. There is a 5 minute difference between the start time of the 2 groups FP+ window.

So what's the easiest way to keep checking? Right now, this is what I'm doing:

  • going to disneyworld.com
  • clicking on MDE
  • choosing FP+
  • picking my first MK day
  • choosing "select or replace"
  • selecting all guests. (should I just try one?)
  • picking MK
  • looking through the list of attractions to see if A&E are available

Just wanted to add that a coworker just returned from Disney and he did comment that the lines to see Ana and Elsa were 5 hours long, but he said they went in the evening and the wait was only 20 minutes! :confused3 I was very surprised!

I've read others on here with a similar experience. A&E are only scheduled to meet until 5:00pm, but several people have reported going later in the evening and seeing the picture for Aurora and a "Visiting Princess" outside, and turned out the "Visiting Princess" was A&E. If you're unable to get a FP+ for A&E at all, and the SB line for Aurora is short in the evening, it seems to be worth a shot.

I'm also trying to get A&E for the 3rd week of June. No luck yet but I'm not giving up! I wasn't sure if it was better to choose "Select or Replace" or "Change". I have tried both without success, but with "Change" it doesn't give you the option of changing only 1 person's FP, so now I'm only choosing "Select or Replace" in the hopes of getting 1 and then copying to everyone else. I hope someone will tell us if there's a better strategy!

I got mine (July 4th week so a very busy time) about a week after the 60 day mark when DD told me she wanted to do it. I had my pick of times for that day. Though they appeared to be all gone the next week when I tried to shift that time.

I wish they would officially extend the A&E meet and greet to the whole day, or put them back at Epcot but keep them at MK too. That would help so much! I guess it's a matter of not having enough people to play them. It's just so stressful as a mother, knowing that meeting Anna and Elsa is the #1 thing my daughters want to do at WDW, and so far I'm not able to make that happen. We will NOT be standing in line for 5 hours! (or 4 or 3...)

That's the thing... We're staying offsite, so we have to wait til 30 days out and choose 1 day at a time. I have 1 more MK day to choose for, so you better believe I'll be online at midnight tomorrow night trying to get them! Feel free to throw a little pixie dust my way!

I did manage to get a FP for Anna & Elsa for our July trip. It is for early in the afternoon. Does anyone know how long the wait is with the FP? Everyone seems to say it is best to see them in the morning? Although I have visited WDW many times, this is my first time with FP+. I welcome all thoughts, tips & suggestions. We are going with my neice who is 5.

This is a little off subject but with A&E on one side, who is on the other now? Cinderella and who? Is rapunzel still available for meet and greet??

I have seen them a few times with FP+ between 9-11am and had a short like 5 minute wait. Saw them with FP+ at 2pm Friday and had the longest FP wait time I've experienced with them, but it was only 15 mins max.

I replied to your other thread, but it's A & E with a visiting princess (usually Aurora) on the right, and Cinderella and Rapunzel on the left. After 5pm A & E leave and Aurora is usually joined by Snow White (but both of those are subject to change.) Cinderella and Rapunzel are headliners and are far less likely to have a substitute. The pictures out front at the time you visit will tell you who is in residence at that time. The crown signifies you will see an unannounced princess.

Best advice is to check daily multiple times a day. I just scored the two I needed only 20 minutes ago for June 15th. I have been checking every day since our 30 day window opened on 5/11.
.
I did the one person at a time strategy and was luck to get two for the same time.
.
I had a thread about anyone trying to cancel between 6/15-6/17 and one DISer had a second set she might be letting go on 6/15 but would not know for sure until 6/12. I would see if you can get in contact with her to work out an arrangement.
.
Don't give up. Pixie Dust your way!!!!!

Does everyone in your party really want to meet them? I would start with one person and then go from there with trying to get additional ones. I managed to get a single one less then a week before our trip so I just took my daughter (she's less then 3 so no FP+ needed). I had them autograph an extra page for my son and he's not a huge fan anyways.
