Strangest thing seen at a Disney park

the strangest thing (and very disgusting) was what the lady next to us did while waiting for Illuminations. She hiked up her Sari (sp?) squatted down, and peed right there!!!! It was so gross, we must have been standing on a slight incline because it started to spread in our direction. Needless to say we changed spots.

:scared1: That is so nasty. I would have gone and gotten the nearest cast memeber and told them, make sure it gets cleaned.

OMG! That has got to be one of the most ignorant things I have ever heard....

A huge group of Buddhist monks heading for Space Mountain just after a rainstorm. I wouldn't necessarily say it was "strange," and I don't know why I thought it was funny...they're human, too... :confused3

One year we saw a woman dressed in corduroy pants and a turtle-neck sweater. This was in late April and the temperature was in the 80s.

Sandy

Saw a kid pee at Animal Kingdom right in the beautiful foliage. Parents acted like it was not even a big deal... The kid had to be at least 4.:confused3

We were getting on the Tomorrowland Transit (Wedway People Mover for those oldies among us) and a family was in front of us. At the entrance to the "cars" the grandma freaked and grabbed onto a pole. Now remember, she's standing on a moving sidewalk, clinging to a stationary pole. So, her feet are slowly sliding away from her and she won't let go. Her family was screaming at her in a foreign language, but all I could think of was the line from A League of Their Own, "The train moves, the station doesn't."

yep, not uncommon for someone from india, i guess. my sister had a woman in her apartment complex do that outside all the time. she said it wasn't unusual in india for women to do that wherever they are. GROSS
on the funny side......i guess we now know they don't wear anything under that!!!!

We had a day when we saw all kinds of crazy things. First, we decided to go swimming over at the Beach Club. We were staying at an All Star, but we like the BC because the pool is nicer. When we go their, some prissy CM freaked and wouldn't let us swim! Not only that, she refused to refill our family heirloom refill mugs! What kind of customer service is that?

We blew off the pool and went to the park. The kids wanted to see the parade and we timed it perfectly. There was a big crowd, but we found a section with just some adults, so we sent the kids in front of them so they could see better. Of course, we're responsible parents, so we had to go to the front with them so we could keep an eye on them. You'd think the people we moved in front of had never been kids. They kept going all "we've been waiting" this and "this our space" and stuff. Get a grip. It's a parade for kids. They are supposed to be in front.

After that, we wanted to on the Rockin' Roller Coaster. They wouldn't let one of my kids on even though she was tall enough. They made her take off her high heel sandals and remeasured her that way. What a bunch of insane nonsense. She wasn't going to ride barefoot. :confused3 Then they wouldn't let my wife on because she was pregnant. When the heck is she supposed to ride it? We're not timing our vacations around her pregnancies. There just isn't a big enough gap time. Oh well, I guess it was for the better because they were already talking like one of us was going to have to stay with the little ones. How is it that they aren't prepared to watch kids at Disney World??? :sad2:

I tell you, it was a strange day.

You'd think that would be one tip someone would give to them before they came here.

Typical day for a CM...
But one fault on that, CM's cannot make a person take their shoes off for measuring. Like if a dwarf person wears 5" shoes and make themself tall enough to ride the coaster, then the CM has to let them ride. But if a child was already measured at being too short, the CM can turn them away even if the shoes are changed, or the parents decide they should stand on ice cream bars to make them an inch taller.

Spanish are notorious for the "for the children, it's for the children"... to shove to the front some how.
An brazillians are always trying to cause problems on the coasters. A) they all want to sit together for the "non-exsistant picture". B) they always want to go again, once they arrive in the station. And CMs only have so much time to unload and load each train before there's a back up and they have to shut the whole ride down, evac every one off, reset the ride, and then get it running again.

Seeing Amish or Amish looking families is nothing new. They show up all the time. Yesterday I was in line at Sea World and there was an older couple behind me. The wife was even using a pink razor cell phone.
The monks do look out of place, but they show up in small groups a couple times a year.

Something recent that happened. Went to Studios for the day with Kari, and watched the parade. Well if you follow it to the end, they toss the balls over the fence as a grand finale thing. Well I was right there, nice and close, and picked up like 6 balls or something. I really just wanted a green one to finish my collection. So we were gonna hand some of them out to little kids. I had this lady come over to me, I was about to hand her one and then she tried to take all of them out of my hand, without even asking. I was like "excuse you, these are mine".... "but but... for the children". I was like, sorry, these are mine and I'm not giving you any. And as she was walking away, she had like 3 of them hidden in her other hand.

There was the Japanese couple with the greatest hats. One had Donald's butt complete with legs/feet hanging down the side of her face and the other had pluto's butt. My sister asked if she could take a picture of them and they agreed. They were so sweet, but I have to tell you the thought of them still makes me chuckle.

My favorite was the little boy who came down to the pool with a swim cap on that looked like a shark complete with dorsal fin and goggles. He was a hoot.

:confused3 I'm assuming you mean people from Spain - or are you lumping in any and all people from Spanish speaking backgrounds. How do you tell is a Spanish speaking person is from Europe. I have full Mediterannean lineage and I have a hard time. Enlighten me please.

I don't know what part of the world they're from or which lineage.... But when you try to tell them otherwise they start talking in spanish and pretend they can't understand a word you're saying.

Then they're not Spanish.....Spanish people are from Spain. Spanish SPEAKING people are from all over.

Looking for a reason to feel insulted today? :lmao:

Though not a "huge group" as the one I saw was about 10 deep, I saw some Monks walking along that walkway between Test Track and Mexico.

I sort of just watched and so did a lot of other people... maybe they were headed to the tequila bar... :goodvibes

When we went to the Pirate and Princess party I saw an elderly woman in full bridal regalia. Fancy gown. Fancy veil. She never outgrew playing dressup I guess, poor thing.

Someone should have informed her though that it is not normal to do that in America....and is anyone else afraid of going to India now;):lmao:

That is because what you tried to do is pool hop and it is only allowed by DVC members and even as a DVC member you aren't allowed to swim at the BC pool. Also, if the refill mug is not from that current year then it can not be refilled for free.

I saw a kid do the exact same thing at AK right by the entrance. He pulled down his pants and started peeing. Problem was, he was hitting the pavement a little bit, so his mom ran over and helped him so he would only hit the foliage and not the pavement :scared:
