Humm. We noticed huge bins of towels, right next to bins of garbage (which we thought was "ewww"), when we were inadvertently stopped for a long spell on the Monorail and had a less than typical view of DW as we approached the MK from Epcot. I have my doubts about "special laundering" being the reason they don't want pool towels used in the rooms. They had those same pool towels on the Wonder, and I really doubt they have special washers on that ship just for pool towels or the waste water they create (I'll certainly ask that question next time around!) because I am sure they would have told us that, and there were no signs requesting guests to NOT take pool towels to their rooms, as you would expect if it really was important. There were no "reminders" in the Navigator, as with other ship service requests, etc. That being said, I appreciated how bountiful they were at the pool, so it is probably good they have the policy and I certainly am one to abide by requests rules of the management.
The housekeeper never mentioned anything about special laundering. Because I washed the towels in our room, we didn't take up his suggestion, but it is good to know that it is frowned upon (and I have to wonder why I'm not getting literature from
DVC in regards to things like that. All I ever get are solicitiations to buy more shares and my dues bill receipt).
Normally I launder the towels every other day at home, but we seemed to take showers two or three times at day when at DW. Morning, again after a swim and maybe before bed if it has been a long and sweaty day in the parks.
I think the suggestions were great -- colored clothes pins, pants hangers, snap hooks. I have suction accessories that I bring for toothbrushes and soap that I stick on the mirror, and have used the suction hooks for hanging swim suits. Forgetful me, I usually don't remember to remove them before we go, though.

There was also a retractable clothesline in the shower, so we used that after the first morning shower. DH kept his towel and washcloth on the left and I kept mine on the right. He's a lefty, so that's how we know whose side is whose.
