Strange things guests say

:thumbsup2 My Mother (65 at the time) is a trully naive and innoscent when it comes to things outside of her comfort zone. We were at MK one night in 2008 when we walked down the steps at Jungle Cruise, just to look around. It was not open for the party that night. She eyed the rc boats and proceeded to drive one of the steering wheels for about 5 minutes. There was a small boat running around the track but it was there and on to entice people to put change in the machine. Well we tried to tell her she wasn't driving the boat several times. Finally she gave up when I told her you had to put money in the machine and showed her the slot. I still sometimes think she really didn't believe me.

DH and I enjoyed watching her feverishly trying to avoid sinking her boat.

My Dad after riding EE for the first time ..."Now that was a helluva ride"

My Dad at his first cardiology appointment several months later "Doc, I don't know why I am here, there is nothing wrong with my heart. Heck I just got back from a ten day trip to WDW and rode every roller coaster, twice!!"

Both my younger brothers, 20 & 23, refuse to ride Space Mountain anymore. They love thrill rides! However, they seriously believe that they are going to hit their heads during the ride! :lmao: We have told them so many times that wouldn't happen, why would they make a ride where you could possibly hit your head if you are a tall person. (one is 6ft & the other 6ft 4") But no matter what they say they still won't ride it. They use to when they were younger, but no more! Just a funny thing in our family! :)

I sat behind DH on his very first Space Mountain ride and his shoulders were up to his ears because he was trying to make himself as short as possible. I was laughing so hard the entire time that it actually hurt. He STILL does it to this day even though he knows nothing will happen.

I LOVE this thread!I leave for WDW (aka HEAVEN!):lovestruc in 5 days, so I will make sure to keep my (Mickey) ears open! :lmao:I will also be using Disney's WiFi, so I will report back as SOON as I hear something!!!!

I'm pretty sure that WDW doesn't have WiFi:confused3

Love Love Love this thread. So many good laughs, and the ones with the kids are priceless, nothing beats the innocence of a child.

were walkin through epcot and a lady walks past and said if this is an amusement park then wheres all f@#&%$! amusement

on the bus to downtown disney there was a sign for cirque de soleil and a man and his daughter were next to us and the conversation went like this
man-whts that
daughter-its cirque de soleil its like a circus
man-cirque de sole what when i was little all we had was ringling brothers

I was in line at a gift shop in MK behind an elderly woman who was looking for a souvenir for her friend. She couldn't understand why WDW did not make a denture cup with Disney characters on it and insisted that the CM "call around" to see if he could find one elsewhere!

Hilarious! I still laugh about it. The CMs were so nice and tried to be helpful, but alas, no Disney denture cup!

I could not control my giggling while riding Soarin' last weekend when the mother beside me pointed out to her two kids (both in their early teens) during the beach scene that, "Kids, this is what the Atlantic Ocean looks like in California...way different than at home!" :lmao:. When we were disembarking from the glider, I asked her where "home" was, and she said, "oh, we're from upstate NY"... you'd think she'd know the states on her own coast! :rolleyes1

LOL! These are quite good. I am a Civil War Reenactor and you can just imagine the severe lack of historical knowledge of a lot of people. "What side are you on?" I guess the blue uniform didn't give it away.
Anyway, I digress, when I was a CM at the world EONS ago, I actually never had to many stupid questions, but I loved getting people to believe EPCOT stood for;

not to hijack, but I believe I read that they are doing an experiment with it at some of the resorts, CR springs to mind. eventually i believe it will be a pay service like the normal wired but be available in the common areas. have a nagging feeling it was the disney Mom's panel where I found that tidbit.

So does every bus driver that ever aspired to be a Jungle Cruise skipper. :lmao:

In early March, we were on one of the busses riding past Blizzard Beach, which was closed for refurbishment. The sign outside of BB said "Closed due to lack of snow!" Someone on the bus with us said "That's a joke, right?"
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl::rotfl:
Lol, I think that this was my son. We were there the first week of march and he said that exact thing!:)

Heard two grown men say in a very excited voice: "I can't wait to go to the Lego store!"

In Phillarmagic, just before the show started, a 20-something guy said to I'm guessing his sister or girlfriend, wanting to take a picture of her: " Put the glasses on so we can't see your face". I don't he meant it as a mean, but his family sure thought it was funny. :lmao:

We were lounging on the poly beach and I heard the mom next to us tell her young daughter that she needed to ask her dad to take her swimming in the ocean.:confused3Then later I over heard her husband tell her that she wasn't at the ocean. She then told her husband that this "motel" reminded her of a resort.:eek:

My first trip to Disney World was in 1989. I was 10 years old and in grade 5. We had a great time and talked to EVERYONE in EVERY line we were in. We met alot of interesting people.
man "where do you live"
me "canada!"
man "do you live in an igloo?" *very serious face....not a joke*
me "um....no...." *confused look*
me "mom did he seriously think we live in an igloo?"
mom "looks like it"

lmao We laughed forever that this guy (american) thought we lived in igloos. I mean, this was before the internet. lol
