Strange question?

My youngest DD (2 in September) is just starting to potty train and will probably be in full swing (hey wishful thinking I know, but maybe she'll even be done) by the time we go to DL in September.

Birnbaum's Disneyland Resort Guide states that there are toddler sized toilets at the two Baby Care Centers in both parks which will be great if we are in the general vicinity of them when my little one has to go, but not so great if we are clear across the park. :earseek:

OK here is my strange question-

Does anyone know if any of the other restrooms around the parks have the smaller toilets as well?

Don't count on it. I've never seen toddler sized toliets at DL in the regular restrooms but I don't know if I've been to every restroom at the park although I think I have. When my kids were younger, I'd take a folding potty seat that you place over a regular toliet seat. Smaller size opening allows them to sit without fear of falling through plus it's cleaner than the one on the toliet. If having your child's feet on the ground is not an issue, you might want to go with the folding seat.

Nope no smaller potties except at the Care Centers-

Another thing to be prepared on is DL has the auto flush toilets- So either be prepared to cover the sensor with a hand or bring somthing like a post it note (nothing really sticky- like Stickers as they really mess up the system) so it doesnt flush while the kid is on the toilet...

Great idea! I never thought of using the post-it notes, all of my kids (even my 9 yo  ) are scared of those. Thanks!

This is a more talked about topic than you might think. In fact, there is a whole section on it over a Mouseplanet.com. Check our thier "Happiest Potties On Earth" section.

Check out this link on mouseplanet - It's absolutely hilarious!

I just can't believe the amount of research that this couple has done on the bathrooms at DL!
I have a DD4 who sometimes waits until the last minute to let us know that she has to go NOW!
It's great to have specifics about all the different bathrooms, especially knowing which are "out of the way"
or less crowded than some of the others.
We always bring along a pad of post-its for the sensors - They work great.
Hope this helps you out a little - If not, it should at least give you a chuckle!

5 days to go!

No fair!
You posted your reply while I was writing mine!
Well, anyway, great (or strange?) minds think alike! :)

Thank you so much for the link I was :rotfl2:.

I am even printing out the restroom summary pages as I am writing this to include with all the other valuable items (including post it notes) I will be taking with me to the parks. My husband will think I'm crazy and will probably be thinking (silently, of course) about commiting me-- that is until he benefits as well by knowing which bathrooms are cleanest, closest and least busy. He usually has to use the restroom more than of my other children COMBINED so benefit he will. :bitelip:

almostGoofy: I ordered the folding toilet seat you mentioned -GREAT IDEA!! Thank you.

I have a folding seat for my grandaughter and its a god send to carry in your diaper bag or what ever you use. It makes the seat safer for the small one then it also helps them not sit on a gross toilet that who knows whats there invisible. Its the best $6.99 I ever spent (At Babys R US)
