Strange Question....

I'm sure you've all heard the if your ears are burning then someone is talking about you....well I'm wondering if any of you have experienced your ears burning so badly that it hurts?? My ears are beat red and are on FIRE! It's not a sunburn...it's been cloudy the last few days...no new products lately. It happened last night and now again this night but worse. Just curious if anyone knows why this happens...it must happen since there's the saying around....

I get this too, especially when my allergies are acting up, although I have no idea if that is related.

As a matter of fact, my right ear is burning at this moment! I didn't even notice... and my allergies aren't bothering me at all... but I am drinking a little wine although I don't know if that is related either.

I would love to know why it happens also!

Hmmm I have really bad allergies....6 years of shots to try and make them liveable...but mine aren't bothering me either...or at least that i know of. ha!
The wine might do it but I think if I could get a good glass of wine it might make mine better! maybe someone else knows...I figured on this board there's got to be someone who knows!

Is it at all possible to have a Staph infection there? I experienced burning, itchy hot to the touch skin on my torso a few years ago and that is what it was.

ha i know you can have a staph infection anywhere on your skin. That could always be a possibility except this goes away....It's only once in a while. I would think with an infection it only gets worse if you don't treat it.

I get it too sometimes. I call it hot ear, cause it comes on all of a sudden, gets red, burns like crazy, and then goes away after a little while. NO idea what it is though. Glad to hear other people experience it as well and it's not just something weird with me

My DD and DH get this too - it goes away, but will come back again. Always wondered why that happened.
